
OK, it's time! Both Tony and I know that there is a thinner one of us in there struggling to get out! We have both come to the end of our ropes......or the end of clothes that fit and we don't want to buy BIGGER ! We started Monday! Thank goodness it's not a race because already he's ahead! I hate the fact that men can always lose faster than women! It's so hard for us to give up those fat cells! HE'S DOWN 5! Me 3! I'm going to continue riding the bike to work and I'm using a small plate when I eat! We've got a lot of fresh veggies from the garden now so that helps. Keep encouraging us! Tell me I'm a crappy cook!

well, you are at an advantage mom- you are riding your bike to work everyday- Tony's not. SO at least you are exercising 5 days a week! That will help and eventually Tony will hit a plateau but you'll keep losing cause you're getting your heart rate up 5 days a week! Good luck- Jon and I plan to do something together after I have the baby, so hopefully we too will find our inner skinny selves. Good luck- I think the small plate is a great idea!
Sorry... you arrreee NOT a lousy cook! I cannot tell a lie! :-) But yes, women's bodies panic and decrease metabolism, where guys' bodies just ramp up, LOL... the good news is that that decrease (for "starvation mode" when we ramp up activity and/or decrease our intake) is temporary, so we just have to keep at it! :-) (And keep eating - otherwise they'll *stay* in starvation mode...)
You can do it!!! :-) I'd like to discover my inner skinny self, too... I've been tracking at SparkPeople a lot, and it's helping! I'm down a solid pound lately! :-)

Wow well you are one step up from me. Go Laverne. I lost the weight I gained during pregnancy now I just have to lose the weight I gained in my first year of marriage (which was the same amount as my pregnancy)
