OK, so you all know I work for a staffing agency. Well, I'm in the process of getting close to 40 people working for a seasonal position at a local bakery. All those hired have to come in and we do an in house drug test on them. Well yesterday and today there were about 15 come in and tomorrow there should be more. I normally give them a UA test (which is gross in itself) but we have some mouth swab tests that we want to get used up. You'd think that a mouth swab would be less disgusting than a pee test BUT, after today, I've decided I'd much rather check some one's pee than their spit any day. The test is similar to the one pictured above. The person sucks on the white sponge and gets it as wet as they can and then I have to place the swab in a little container and squeeze out all the saliva and then put a few drops of the saliva on to the oval test (ours is square) and wait a few minutes and then read it. This lady sucked on it and when she handed me the swab ....it was brown and so disgusting I had the gag reaction! It was awful! She is either a smoker or a coffee drinker or she just has a terribly disgusting mouth!! I had to reassure myself that I'm thankful I'm working and have a job!!!

OH my gosh... yes, urine is somehow less offensive, LOL... probably because - knowing what it is - we EXPECT it to be nasty, LOL!

Eww MOM gross! Well I must say, I work with 50 little fur legged pups and ALL THEIR LITTLE PIES! I don't know which is more gross! I think you win Mom. I wouldn't want to be the one that tells someone that they can't have the job.
I had a thought about this today, Laverne. Maybe she had just eaten an oreo cookie. We all know what that can do to you. And yes I came up with this after eating an Oreo cookie today.
