Yahoo! It's here, the new book by Stephanie Meyer!.....Well, it will be this Saturday! I know some of you are going Friday night to "Barnes and Noble" but I'll be patient and hit Costco on Saturday morning. I'm picking up 2 copies. One for a friend who is out of town and she asked me to get it for her. I know what you will all be doing the next few days! Better warn your hubbies that you'll be out of commission for a day or so! Tony's already dreading it! LOLThursday, July 31, 2008

Heather sent me some pictures that Jon took while they were here visiting and I just had to share! This is Andrew and doesn't he look like a Gerber Baby if ever there was one!
This is him at the lake in his BIG HAT shading his delicate skin! I just wanna hug and kiss the little fellow!!
This is his big sisters! Isabel and Sophia are like night and day! Isabel, all girl and likes the frilly stuff while Sophia prefers cowboy boots and a hat and horse!

NORTON REUNION 2008
This year's Norton Family Reunion was held at the cabin at Cascade and it was fun as usual! We ATE.....3 squares a day!!! Not a real good time for the diet but all the meals were wonderful! KUDO'S to all of us for preparing such good meals.
We swam and boated and jet skied. Some of us even bathed in the lake. (Well Jess, to be specific) He was at the lake as early as 3AM to take a bath. I caught him one morning leaving right after his morning ritual. The water was wonderful and several of us swam across the lake and back. Tony and I, along with Blake and Alivia paddled the canoe across while Nate, Melissa, Emmy, Jess and Diane swam across. After reaching the other side, Diane and Nate got in and paddled the boat while Tony and I and Blake joined Melissa, Emmy and Jess for the swim back across to the cabin side. I don't know how those who swam both ways did it!! I was exhausted and the last to reach shore. Even Blake made it with no problem! Great job everyone!!
We did a lot of swinging ...... Most always the kids did the swinging as parents pushed them but occasionally a parent or young adult was seen swinging too.
The big project this year (for the men) was to take the deck apart and redo it. You can see in this picture how the boards are sagging because the support underneath was rotted and broken away. The men had to take all the boards off, replace the support underneath and then put all the boards back on. BIG JOB!
Here are a couple of good looking men on the construction crew! It was hot and they all worked hard but always had smile's on their faces!
This is the deck after removing all the top boards. You can see the beams that were broken underneath.
Nate......always in the middle of things. LOL
The mothers and kiddies had a good time playing while the men worked away. There were a couple of neighborhood dogs that like to have sticks thrown so here Garrett is throwing a pretty good sized piece of wood for the dog. He was pretty proud of himself after the dog fetched it and brought it back to him.
What a great shot of Jess! He really put his backside into his work!! Never a dull moment when Jess is in the picture! LOL
Putting the final screws into the new deck! Yay! It's done and it looks great! Dad was so happy to have it completed and appreciated all the work the men put into it! However, even with his broken leg and broken arm, he was out on the deck working right along side of the guys! What a Man! He can't sit still to save himself! He's an example to all of us!!
It was a great time and we were able to accomplish some needed work as well as have fun in the sun! We only wish all of you could have been here. Maybe next year you can all make it to the Berezay Reunion in July! Plan ahead!!!

Berezay Family Reunion 2008
HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN.....

Hi all..... We're back from Montana and the Berezay Family Reunion! It was a great time! We left Thursday night and drove as far as Cascade and stayed at Grandpa Norton's cabin. Scott and Jill and the kids (except Claire) met us there. The trip thus far was uneventful except for me getting car sick! I had to have Tony stop once so I could get out. I wanted to lose my cookies and wish I had. I'd probably have felt better but as it was, after a good night's rest I was fit as a fiddle! We left Friday morning for Montana. 1st stop was in McCall and Tony bought me some Dramamine. It knocked me out (literally) ... I slept 90% of the trip! Fastest trip to Montana in a long time. It was great! I didn't get sick either! Yahoo! We arrived in Montana around 5:45, went to Costco and got some things for the Saturday Potluck and then took off for the lake which is another hour from Missoula. We got there around 7PM. We visited for a bit and then went to the motel to check in. Tony and Grandma and Grandpa Norton stayed and went to bed and I went back to the "Haven" to visit. After all, I slept practically the entire trip, I was ready to visit and party! Saturday, I got up and got dressed and told Tony I was going to start walking and they could pick me up on their way to the 'Haven". I made it all the way (2.9 miles) with 15 minutes to visit) before Tony and his folks showed up. I had to get some exercise cuz I was without my bike for three days. I was just happy I was able to walk with no problems. Since my foot surgery I haven't been able to walk long distances. I'm gonna have to start doing it now.
We had a great time on Saturday with the family "Auction" where we all bring homemade items and auction them off to raise money for missionaries in the family as well as upkeep on the property where we all meet. We raised over $3200 dollars! It was so much fun! My cousin paid $300 for my Uncle Dean to make him a pan of chocolate fudge! Tony was blown away! We had a fun program on Saturday night so I put Scott in charge of our contribution. He came up with a "Nacho Libre" skit and it was darn funny! Jill, Mostyn and Hawkins were in it as well as Addie Piippo and Jon Posey. They were all naturals! Sunday we had our church service and we left for the long drive back right after the meeting. It was a great week end but too short. We are looking forward to going to Cascade Wednesday night for the Norton reunion. See a lot of you there.

Heather was so happy to see you all and very appreciative of the lovely gifts. Rowan will be well a well dressed young man! THANK YOU.....THANK YOU......THANK YOU!

Look who's losing faster !!! NATURALLY !

I am so disappointed! I have been trying hard (seriously) to lose weight! I am drinking water like crazy, riding my bike to and from work and again after work in the evenings. Not every night but several times a week. I have cut back on portions and we are eating better. I am not making deserts and avoid candy. Well, my dear sweet hubby has lost 7 pounds and I'm still at a miserable 3 pounds! He has even eaten ice cream several times! Arghhhhh...... He told me to not get discouraged but it's so hard! I swear, MENOPAUSE HAS REEKED HAVOC WITH MY BODY AND I'M READY TO CALL DR. KAVORKIAN !! I sound like I'm PMS ing huh?
WELL, I AM!!! It pays to have a physical job rather than sitting on a hiney the size of Texas!

We Cooked Our Computer!
Well, I'm just sick! I was downloading a bunch (ALL) the pictures I took on the Seaside vacation this year. Actually I was downloading them from our computer to a Costco site so I could have some printed. I'm not sure if that's what did it but our computer gave up the ghost. Tony took the hard drive to Coby on Saturday and it's shot! We have ordered another (actually 2) new hard drives and Coby was trying to see if any information can be saved. It's doesn't look good and for the most part I'm OK with it all EXCEPT......I've lost all my pictures! If you would all be so kind ......I would love any pictures of the kids, family get togethers, my wedding (whaaaaaaa) baptisms etc. I would appreciate it. I feel like I've lost the last 4 years of my life!

REMEMBER.....HEATHER'S BABY SHOWER
Hi all,
Remember that Heather is coming to town (as a matter of fact, she is on the road heading for Utah at the moment) but she will be here next Wednesday for a short visit. I am throwing a baby shower for her Wednesday night at 7PM. I have heard back from a few in Boise (as to their attendance) but I have yet to get a confirmation from everyone so if your coming, please let me know. She had 30 some invited and I have to know what to plan for. Thanks!

WISH IT WAS THAT EASY!!
WOW, if I could lose weight with a HOT FLASH, I'd be one skinny woman! It was so hot going home on the good ole bike last night, I was dripping when I got home! I can just imagine those drips of sweat being a pound of flesh! That would be awesome! But alas! I will have to work a bit harder than that. Oh well, we are motivated and doing well!Wednesday, July 9, 2008
THE BIGGEST LOOOOOOOSER!

OK, it's time! Both Tony and I know that there is a thinner one of us in there struggling to get out! We have both come to the end of our ropes......or the end of clothes that fit and we don't want to buy BIGGER ! We started Monday! Thank goodness it's not a race because already he's ahead! I hate the fact that men can always lose faster than women! It's so hard for us to give up those fat cells! HE'S DOWN 5! Me 3! I'm going to continue riding the bike to work and I'm using a small plate when I eat! We've got a lot of fresh veggies from the garden now so that helps. Keep encouraging us! Tell me I'm a crappy cook!

Which ballroom dance are you? created with QuizFarm.com | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| You scored as Viennese Waltz You are Viennese Waltz! Elegant and exhilarating, you are more fun than a barrel of really dizzy monkeys. You love merry-go-rounds, tire swings, and those office chairs that spin around. When you walk into a room everyone goes “Ooooh!” and “Aaaah!” and wishes they could be as awesome as you.
