I then went to the stationary bike for another 1/2 hour. Then we stretch out and go home. I'm home by 6:15 or so, take my shower, get ready for work and then go to work by 7:30. I felt really good Thursday and Friday but I looked forward to the weekend and some rest.
Monday morning came and we went to a step class! Let me tell you....."IT KICKED MY BUTT" !! My face was beat red when I left and my clothes were drenched! It was all I could do to go up the stairs when I got home!!
Monday: Step class (Honestly, I'm scared for Monday)
Tuesday: Treadmill/stationary bike
Wednesday: Zumba class ( a low impact dance class but it worked me hard too!)
Thursday: Treadmill/stationary bike
Friday: Treadmill/stationary bike
So far, I'm sore but I feel like I have more energy during the day. At least till about 8 or 9 at night and then I crash! I have to get to bed early but that's not a bad thing! I am looking forward to the day when it actually starts taking pounds off me! It has curbed my appetite too so hopefully SOON! In the meantime ....my motto will be:
"Early to bed, early to rise....
will take this meat off my thighs!"

Way to go mom! I am so proud of you! Heck, I am proud of anyone who gets up at 5 in the morning to workout!I took a step class as one of my classes at the community college- loved it! I especially enjoyed it when I had the routine down and knew what I was doing- not having to think about the steps makes it more enjoyable- plus, our teacher played good music- it was fun! I do find classes at gyms intimidating cause I am always worried I will look like a dork compared to other people who have an idea of what they are doing- so that makes me extra proud of you- for being courageous enough to get in there and shake it. keep it up :0) And throw in weight lifting it is really important and will help you get that toned look you're going for :0)
Well, I did look like a dork and I was laughing at myself the entire time but I'll be there again Monday morning! Just hope I don't have a heart attack! LOL.......Maybe that's not so funny!

Way to go!!! I actually started working out too 1/12 is the start date, and I haven't stopped since! I'm working out with the Beach Body Slimin6 DVD pack. It's supposed to get you real trim in 6 weeks, as long as you stay with it. I need to stay with it. I found motivation when I knew I was part of the cast for the show next month. But yeah I'm proud of you too Mom! I agree with Heather's suggestion. Make sure you add a few weights into the routine too! More repitions with light weights will get you trim in no time!
Good job mom! I agree with Heather - you definitely need to add some weight training. The more muscle you have the more weight you will burn. Muscle burns fat while your resting too. Cardio burns fat while your working out but weight training burns muscle 24/7. 2 times a week is good. Princess: I started out with Slim in 6 and so did Deedra. It is a great workout. I've expanded into other beachbody workouts from there. I love Hip Hop Abs and Yoga Booty Ballet. I also do Kathy Smith workouts. I like to exercise at home - and I like variety. Chris has lost 30 lbs. doing Turbo Jam (he started in May). I've definitely noticed more energy and I can get up the stairs without being winded. Keep up the great work!
