Then I had to cut all the edges, which took me several days to get it all done! Finally finished it so I took it to a laundry mat on my lunch break today and washed and dried it.This is the final product! Not perfect by any means, but I like it. So much so that I'm going to make one for myself as well!
It's heavy! Will make a good summer picnic blanket. What do you think?

Very good mom. Yet another thing I need you to teach me. I think people will be admiring it if you use it in the park. Now all you need is a picnic basket (and some good weather) and you are good to go!
