I NEED TO GET ORGANIZED!!!

I think I have spring fever!
I have this urge (however it's controllable...lol) to start cleaning! I went into my craft room this morning to find some ink and stamps but I have so much crap all over the place that I couldn't get to what I needed without moving half the room into the hallway. Couldn't do that! I only had 10 minutes to get to work so decided things would have to wait!

I had the same urge last weekend when I was looking for something in the pantry and couldn't find it! One of these days I'm gonna get really ambitious and do something about this itch!

For now, I'll just refer to the shirt posted above!

WHAT I LEARNED @ GRAMMA & GRAMPA NORTON'S

This past month, Jill and Hawkins and Scotlyn have been staying with us while Scott secured a home in Sierra Vista. They will be leaving March 2nd to go to Arizona and be a family again. Claire and Mostyn have been staying at their daddy's in Boise. They came out one weekend and we all played Uno. It has become a favorite of Hawkins! He'd rather play Uno than, eat or go to bed. ........However he'd rather do anything than go to bed!

Scotlyn has become friends with Gramma & Grandpa. "She likes us, she really likes us!"

She will gladly come to us ....(as long as she knows mommy isn't far away!) Mommy is always saying..."What are you feeding her now?" (Food works wonders on winning babies over)
She has very expressive eyes!

And look what she can do with her tongue!

Below, are video's of Scotlyn that are just adorable! She's learned how to use her lungs in a very interesting way and she loves to smack her lips when she eats!
It's been fun!

Thank you Kid's for a Night of Culture!

We had a lovely evening on Friday night. We used our Christmas gift from Tony's kids and went to the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra performance. Mom and Dad Norton were given tickets as well so the 4 of us went to dinner at The Olive Garden and then to the concert.
It was titled "Evening in Vienna" and Karen Lynn Deal was the guest conductor. She was very good and entertaining. Ju-Young Bqek was the guest violinist. She was awesome. I have to admit that the only song I recognized was The Blue Danube which was the last song they played as an encore. It was a great evening.
Thank you kids! You may culture us afterall !
Nah, probably not! LOL

TAG, PAY IT FORWARD.................

I got this from Krista as well as Heather and I agree! It is a wonderful idea! Let's all spread the love!

I thought I was suppose to wait until I got the gift but not so....

This is how it works:

The 1st 3 (Heather's was 5, Krista's was 3) to respond to this post is to win something from ME! Something crafty or yummy!

BUT YOU HAVE TO DO THIS:

Re Post this to your blog & offer the same thing to your 1st 3/5 responders. (*I'll do 5)

The 1st 3/5 who re post to their own blog will get something made my ME! My choice!

The gift you send can be any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item! (I won't wait that long and will get it done asap and sent) This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped YOUR gifts. And remember, it's the spirit and the thought that counts!

When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it!
I know I will!

REMEMBER............PAY IT FORWARD!

SPOILED ROTTON

I don't know if any of you are curious whether or not I got my "Brighton Jewelry" for Valentine's Day but I'm gonna tell ya anyway!

Hubby got home late Friday night! He was unable to go to the store to purchase the said "BLING". He was thinking about it so he gets "KUDOS'S" for that! Saturday he told me he was going to take me to the store to pick out the piece I wanted! I really wanted him to give me a piece he'd picked but I was game none the less!! We stopped at Deseret Book in Meridian 1st so he could replace his broken oil vile. In doing so we found a Valentine Gift that we both loved!
What says "Happy Valentine's Day" better than a picture of the Temple where we sealed the deal! (no pun intended) I said I'd fore go the jewelry . I'm happy, he's happy and the wall where it hangs is happy! It doesn't get any better than that!

PS:
It was on sale and we got a killer deal! That makes it even better! We also went to dinner at Ruby River Steak House and went to the Temple afterwards! It was an "AWESOME VALENTINE"S DAY!"

MY THURSDAY NIGHT JEWELRY INSTRUCTION!

I'm a blogging fool, I know, I just can't help myself!
So this is what I did last night. I help Melissa instruct her once a month Thursday night jewelry class so once a month I go to her house and learn the piece she is making and then I help her when class time comes around. It's next Thursday so last night while Tony was at his Stake meetings I went over and ....wha la!!
Like this little number?
I did! It only took and hour ! I was amazed! So amazed that I went home and made earrings to go with it ....... AND.....
I changed it up a bit and made another one and earrings to go with it!

What do you think? They are big semi precious stones and I can't remember the name of either one of them but I like um! I'm really hooked on this homemade jewelry and I'm getting pretty darn good at it! Thanks to Melissa!
I'm also really excited because last night my dear dear hubby asked me... "what is the name of that Jewelry you like so much?" I said "Brighton". He said ..."So where do you get it?" I said .."Flynns Saddle Shop." He said ... "Is that on State Street?" I said ..."I think so." End of conversation. Honestly, I've never bought any of it but Suzanne in my office doesn't like silver and she had several pieces of it and she knows I love silver so she just gave it to me! It was awesome! I've showed Tony and raved about it so I think the dear man is going to surprise me with it for Valentines Day! We'll see, when he sees the price, he may change his mind! LOL But he was thinking about me! That's what counts! he he

I LOVE MY MAN !!

My dear husband was off work yesterday and again today! Work has been slow! (Sad)
BUT.... it has it's perks!
He came to the office and brought me a Subway Sandwich this afternoon and we enjoyed it in the conference room together! Something we don't ever get to do due to the fact he works in Boise and me in Nampa!
Sure do love the man! He's really treating me this weekend too !
Friday and Saturday night we have Valentine plans! (wink wink) Just kidding, it's dinner and a movie!
They just don't get any better than my Mr. Norton!

BABY'S BUTTERFIELD'S HERE AT LAST

Deedra was admitted to the hospital at 6AM today. We all kept posted on her progress via the MSN messenger. I had to go to Boise at 11:10 this morning for my dentist appointment. When I left she was dilated to 6. I thought for sure I'd miss it (because of Jill's extreme rush after 5) When I got out of the dentist's office, I called Curtis and he said the Dr. was going to come in and break her water in a few minutes . At that point I thought I would miss it for sure. I hurried back to Nampa and just as I was getting off at Garrity, I called Curtis again and he said the Dr. said she was progressing nicely so he cut back the pit and left her on her own. (no breaking the water just yet) I told Curtis I would go back to the office and for him to let me know when she was close. Ya just can't predict these things and when he called (1/2 hour later) and said she was at 8.5, I decided to head out. I stopped at "Jack in the Box " to get chicken sandwiches for Curtis and his mom and sisters and while at the pickup window I told the lady waiting on me that we were having a baby and I was taking sandwiches to the father. She asked me if I knew what it was and I proudly said "a boy and his name is "JACK" she laughed and said "wait a minute" and she came back with a soft miniature basketball for Jack. Pretty cool!
He didn't come as quickly as we thought. I left the office at 2:10 and he finally arrived at 5:02 but he is perfect. He's winking at Gramma!
Mom finally gets to love her new little one.

We passed him around and he was loved by all.
Does Curtis look proud or what?

Deedra never made a peep! Love those epidurals!
Further more she looks better than me! She had a baby and I got a crown!

A four generation shot! And at last the video you all have been waiting for! Enter
JACK PORTER BUTTERFIELD.

ARGHHHHH, MOUTH GONE BAD!!

I've had a tooth that's been bothering me when I bite on something hard. I had my annual appointment scheduled in March but alas, I'm gonna have to go early! Tomorrow in fact! I was eating a piece of bread (the kind with whole grains in it) and all of a sudden I felt something hard. I knew it wasn't a grain or a nut and sure enough. I broke a big ole chunk out of the very back tooth on my bottom right side. I hate it! My tongue keeps find the big ole cavern and it's getting sore! Worse, I hate going to the dentist! AND worse yet, ....Deedra is being induced at 6AM! Arghhhhhhh! Sometimes, things just go from bad to worse. I hope I will be out of the chair before Jack arrives.

OUCH!!!!!!

MONDAY:

I had a great Monday! 1st and foremost I was off work! I took a PTO day so I could get things ready around the house (ie: wash sheets, clean house, laundry etc) and get things ready for Jill, Hawkins and Scotlyn to stay with us. I'd also made arrangements to meet with Christa and go to lunch together. She is in Boise visiting and it was my turn! Great fun! She's a sweetheart!
Here we are! She's as pretty as she was when she left last March. GO FIGURE!
She and I left and went to the airport so we could see Curtis fly in and she was able to see a lot of the family! It was nice. Afterwards we went to Port of Subs' and caught up on 10 months ! But 1st some pic's of the Family Reunion!
And here is a picture of a Very "Happy Family"! It was so nice to see them together again. Now little Jack can come and meet his Daddy!
See the homecoming video below! Check out Garrett at the end. I think he was a bit shy when he 1st see's daddy again. Watch him grab for Mommy! LOL

MONDAY EVENING and LIFE WITH THE KID'S

Christa came over this evening (Monday) and we had a great visit with her and Jill and the little ones. We had taco's and mostly laughed at the kiddies.
Little Scotlyn is warming up nicely! She was all smiles and Christa was happy she was able to hold her.
I'm excited to finally get some pictures of her without the red eye! She sure has rosey cheeks right now and she's showing off her new tooth..almost teeth!
Hawkins was a wild man and sooooo hilarious! Aunt Christa gave him a Valentine Pez dispenser and he was pretty darn excited about that!
I'd almost forgot what it's like to live with a little boy! They are a breed all of their own....as you can see!!

This was hilarious!!

And from that to this! They are so precious! We are enjoying them and will miss them when they move to Arizona.
This is the most action my AB LOUNGER has seen ........ EVER! LOL

ADDIE'S BAPTISM

Saturday the 31st was Addie's baptism. My parents were going to come with Donna and Jack but dad has not been feeling well. Jason and Caulene had a lot of her family staying with them so this week end Donna and Jack stayed with us! It was so fun! They got here on Friday night around 5. We went out to eat and then went to Deedra's and Tony and Jack put a TV bracket on the wall for her. We came home and watched a movie and didn't go to bed till around 1AM! We were like a bunch of youngsters! LOL We slept in (till 8:30) and then got up and had pancakes and bacon! Mmmmmmm! We then visited till it was time to go to the baptism.
Addiline Ivy Piippo and her daddy.
After her baptism we went to the High Council Room and she was confirmed. Here she is with her two Grandpa's and her daddy!

Afterward, we went to the gym and had a lovely luncheon provided by her mom, Caulene. She had prepared 5 different soups, rolls, and some delicious Valentine cookies and dipped pretzel sticks and a drink. It was really good. My hat's off to Caulene for putting that together. It was very nice. Donna and Jack then went to the kid's house to visit with them for a bit and Tony and I went to the Temple to take in a session with our Stake.

It was pretty dark after we left so the picture didn't turn out too good. They have remodeled the front entrance and it is done now but ya can't tell with this picture.
We called Donna and Jack to let them know we were on our way home and we all met up at the house and visited and watched a little TV before going to bed. They left this morning early, just after Tony went to his early morning meeting. It was a great weekend. So fun to have them stay with us. On another note, Scott & Mac made it down to Sierra Vista with no problems. They had 3 other guys he went to the academy with, help him and Mac unload all their belongings into a storage unit. I'm so grateful they had a safe trip. Jill and Hawkins and Scotlyn will be moving in with us for a few weeks and then I'll have to do the worry thing again when she does the same trip (ALL BY HERSELF WITH TWO LITTLE KIDS!) I'll enjoy them until then!
