REMENISING......

WOW, the Internet, TV, radio and just listening to others is ALL about MJ ! He definitely made a name for himself!
This was my favorite MJ Album. I can remember the kids singing and dancing all over the house to this one. I think I even "busta move" to it. LOL

I remember when this MTV video came out! It was pretty awesome! I've been watching all the old videos on the Internet. He was impressive! This was my favorite way he looked.

And this is my favorite MTV video of his. Although, I liked a lot of them.
He got carried away with his looks the last years of his life and he had a lot of problems but I still liked a lot of his music and his dancing was phenomenal.

HELPIN THE FAM........

Tuesday evening after I got off work, Tony and I went to Traci's to access the situation on the bathroom floor. They had had a flood a while back and there was a bubble in the linoleum. Traci wanted to know if Tony would tile it for her. In Tony's words...."Of course"......what a sweetheart! We helped her rip up the remainder of the linoleum (which was glued down like NO floor he had ever done! It was a bear!) Jason had started it but it was so dang glued, he didn't get finished. After we were done we all went to Lowes and got all the materials.

Wednesday, Tony got up early, went with his mother to Wilder to pick strawberries. ( 6 gallons)He got home, put them in the fridge and then took off for Kuna. The strawberries needed done asap so at lunch I went home and started on them. After work (I had to work the late shift) I went home and finished them up. Then I called Tony to see if I could come out and help him. He said Traci had got pizza for dinner and I was to go out. He would eat and rest up a bit and then he was ready to start laying the tile.
Here's Andrew eatin pizza with Caden helpin him look cool while doing so!

Since the tub has a toilet sittin in it and the bathroom inaccessible, Andrew gets a bath in the kitchen sink.
CADEN, numero uno grandson! He's almost 11.

SOPHIA, our little cowgirl. She loves horses.

ISABEL, our little vampire. LOL

We were outside cleaning the tools after the tile was set. Andrew trying to get on Isabel's bike!

MOM, helping him and Isabel sharing! He loves it.

Can't quite reach those pedals........

And the tile job! It looks beautiful! She picked the big ones and they were awesome! Tony will either go this afternoon to grout it or this evening. It looks great!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !!

I've been in cahoots with Delta 83 (better known a Curtis Butterfield) for the past two months. He recruited me, Whiskey Delta, (better known as Mom) and I've been working undercover on a "Secret Mission" here in the States while getting my instructions from him overseas.
Tonight, with the help of my trusted accomplice, Agent Numero Uno, we pulled it off.

1st: We went to the home of Deedra Butterfield where we did as we were instructed to do by Agent Delta 83. Agent Numero Uno documented the events of the night on film.2nd: We presented Deedra with a dozen red roses.

By the smile on her face, I believe that went over very well!

3rd: I began reading the specific instructions given by Delta 83.....

It was a long detailed list.......

It hard to be a secret agent when the weather is hot.......I was sweatin like a .......well, never you mind that. On with the mission.

4th: I gave Deedra a document prepared by Agent 83, with explicit directions! DO NOT READ TILL BED TIME!!! She got the picture! Smart Girl!

5th: I gave Deedra the gift that Delta 83 had specially made for her. Again, check out the smile. She liked it, she really liked it!

6th: I took 3 victims into custody and later, with the help of Agent Numero Uno, we took them to a safe house until the mission was complete.

7th: I gave Deedra the secret code word, which she was to use in order to speak with Delta 83.
8th: Deedra was given the Secret Documents (which she can read at her leisure) as to how the Mission went down.

10th: I was instructed to set up a site where Deedra could eat and be interrogated at the same time. She was served Chicken Alfredo, tossed salad, garlic bread, custard and a nice bottle of 2008 Sparkling Cider.

My trusted Accomplice, Agent Numero Uno! I couldn't have done it without him!

11: After commandeering the children, we were on our way to the safe house and the rest of the mission was in Delta 83's hands!

He must have done a dang good interrogation....she's still smiling! She was instructed to bring the "Get out of jail" document before the children would be released into her care again.
It was a fun night. We hope it met with Delta 83's approval!

Saturday in review......

Actually had a very busy day with a little Hugh Jackman in the middle! After breakfast this morning I made 3 more batches of custard. We were given two gallons of milk that needed to be used (expiration date was up) so I've been making custard all week. Gave it to all out Home Teaching families and took some to a family for compassionate service. We are going to Art and Lynn's tomorrow for "Father's Day" so made a bunch for that. I also cleaned my house and did laundry. Went to the grocery store and even had a couple of visits from family and friends.
In the middle of it all, we decided to go to the 2PM matinee of Wolverine. It was pretty good but a wee bit violent. Came home after 4 and finished up my laundry and ironing. I'm ready for some rest tomorrow!

JOB ON THE HORIZON.......MAYBE....

Deedra called Tony yesterday and told him that Curtis said 2 Electricians from England were just hired by KBR. She got a contact name for Tony and he emailed the contact immediately. He heard back from her today (WOW, FAST) and she said for him to go ahead and apply on line and to go and get his Passport taken care of.
Tony, did so and then went to Boise and got his Passport renewed. It didn't take him very long because he had had one when he went on his mission

Now we play the waiting game and see what happens. It seems to have lifted Tony's spirits , just by being contacted by KBR. :)

CLEAVE TO YOUR NEVER'S !!

The Singles Conference is over. It was a long 4 days filled with a lot of super activities ie: Temple Session on Thursday night, a "Preparedness Fair" on Friday night followed by a dance.

Saturday we had a Continental breakfast, then into the chapel for 3 awesome speakers! We then had a lunch followed by several classes of which you could pick 3 to attend. Tony and I split up and went to different classes so we could share information with one another later. I chose "Manna From Heaven" a bread making class as well as "Ready, Set, Shop" a couponing class. Tony went to "Swimming with the Sharks" ( dealing with adverse things we deal with on a daily basis) and "Providing Your Own Personal Bailout" which dealt with getting financially secure. We had to miss the last class because we had to go to Wal-Mart to pick up the chicken for dinner. So of course we had a nice dinner followed by games and then another dance. We were at the church from 9AM to after midnight. Sunday night we had a Fireside and two more wonderful speakers. Patriarch Keller and President Hughes. We then served ice cream in waffle bowls as well as cake. We had several people comment to us that it was "THE BEST" singles conference they had ever attended! Made us feel really good.

I was impressed and learned a lot but there were two things that really made an impression on my heart and I want to record them.

#1. "Cleave to Your Nevers"..................What you may say does that mean? A sister that spoke to us on being happy ! She told us we need to learn to love ourselves. We need to be happy with what we have both physically and mentally! We can't compare ourselves to others and wish we were smarter or prettier or thinner or whatever the case my be. God loves us and our main concern is to be happy with what we have been blessed with and continually try to improve ourselves. We need to set goal for ourselves to help us become better. Here's where the "Cleave to your Never's" come in. She said she was visiting her daughter in S.L.C. and she stayed in her grand daughter's room. She had a sign on her door that read
"Cleave to YourNever's" .....................

then she told us some of the never's to better ourselves..........

1. Never smoke

2. Never drink

3. Never lie

4. Never swear...................what ever your nevers are that would make you a better person. I really liked that concept and I think I will remember it the rest of my life.

Simple, but effective!

The 2nd thing I learned that I never knew is that we can get a recorded "Father's Blessing" that we can keep along with our Patriarchal Blessing. Those are the only two blessings that are recorded that we can refer back to. (and should refer back to often)
It so impressed me that I am going to talk to my dad and see if I can get a blessing from him when I go home in July that I can companion with my Patriarchal blessing.

Anyway, the conference was awesome. I am so grateful that Tony is involved with this program and we are very blessed to be able to attend. It was an uplifting past 4 days!

SATURDAY NIGHT SINGLE'S DANCE.........

The "SINGLES CONFERENCE" is almost over. Tonight we have a Fireside and then it's done. It was wonderful and Tony and I felt like it was a big success! Friday night there was a dance with a DJ and my friend Debra (Woods) Hasse and her husband came. They met at a singles dance several years ago and she lives in Homedale. It was great to see her and reminisce. I thought my kids would get a kick outta seeing a picture of the two of us. She and her husband came again on Saturday night so I had Tony take a picture of us. We met about 20 years ago in the 23rd ward when we were both still married to our 1st husbands.

Had to get one picture of Tony and me. We were outside throwing away trash for the ump tee nth time.....LOL

THE SINGLES CONFERENCE BEGINS.........

Tony is the High Councilman over the singles program and this weekend (well, actually from Thursday thru Sunday) is a regional Singles Conference and our Stake is in charge. Tonight it started off with a trip to the temple. It was awesome! There were around 50 in attendance.

We were to be in the chapel no later than 6:15 and then one of the Temple Presidency spoke to us before we went into a session. He was incredible! He had lived in Iowa when he and his wife were younger. He said he had never met an LDS person until the missionaries. He was a protestant and had questions that his ministers couldn't answer and of couse the missionarys were able to. He told some very sacred and inspiring stories about the temple! It was a wonderful start to the conference. I am so grateful for the temple and the wonderful blessings that come from attending.

HAVE I MENTIONED, I LOVE MY MAN ??????

If any of you read my Facebook, you will know that I made a "MAJOR BLUNDER" !!
I scheduled a "Scentsy" party for Jill on my anniversary. YES, you heard right!!
I have been so busy at work with our garden, making the give away quilts and filling orders as well as my home schedule, R.S. and this week Tony and I are involved with the "Singles Conference"...............
Jill called last week and told me she was coming the week of Father's Day and wants me to hold a "Scentsy" Open House for her. Her mom and sister are having one on the 25th so I said I would do it on the 26th, NOT EVEN THINKING......just looked for an open spot on my schedule................ BIG OOPS!
I sent out an email and printed up a bunch of fliers and not long after my dear dear husband called me and politely asked...."Did you forget what day our anniversary is?" It hit me in the face at that point! "Ooops, sorry Honey" I have all the info out and so being the Big Hearted Person he is, I am keeping the Open House as planned.

Then later that evening I got a call from the Gospel Doctrine Teacher and she asked me to sub this Sunday. Seriously, I love to do things for others but teaching ADULTS is NOT my thing!!! I nearly had a cardiac arrest on the spot. I was dancing all over the issue so my beloved husband came to my rescue again and volunteered to do it!
I OWE HIM BIG TIME !!!!

Sure do love my man!
