I'M SPOILED ROTTEN !!

Have I ever told you ....I LOVE MY MAN ??

Well, I DO! As you all know, I accidentally stepped on my Nikon Cool Pix in Texas! :(
I loved that camera!!! I really did! I was just getting to understand all that it did ..... Only took me two years and a lot of help from Princess! I'm technically challenged ..... but you all knew that!

Well, after getting the repair quote on my Nikon, my wonderful husband did a lot of on-line research and told me to go purchase this one at Best Buy. It was on sale for a $50 dollar savings so last night after work, I went to Boise to go to the Temple so I left early and stopped in at Best Buy. Another gal was looking at he same camera and she told me that her friend had this one and it was awesome. She said it took great pictures!! It was priced at $300 and so I told her about the on line sale. I asked the sales rep if I had to order on line in order to get the sales price. He said they honored it but he had to check to see if it was really on sale! (Like I'd lie ...)

Anyway, it was so we both got a deal. She was quite happy that I'd told her about the sale and thanked me as she was paying.

I've been reading the manual and trying different things with it. I do believe
..................... I'M GOING TO LOVE IT !! There is a lot to learn but I'm getting things down.
Don't be surprised if I pose your kids when I see you.

It's not red but it is BEAUTIFUL! .....

Thank you Tony! Your the BEST !!!

BLIND AS A BAT !!!!

Had a funny and not so funny thing happen to me in Texas!

I have to share ................
I got up one morning and took a shower. I forgot to take my shampoo in the shower with me but I noticed a number of hair products on the window shelf (in the shower) above my head. I was squinting to see which one was shampoo. I saw ... (OK, thought I saw) a lady with long golden blonde hair on one of the bottles SO I took it down and proceeded to wash my hair.

I thought to myself, "This shampoo doesn't suds up a lot, must be one of those expensive kinds like I've seen on TV" .............

Ha ha, jokes on me! After I got out dried off and put my glasses on this is what I SEE !!

I'M FLEA AND TICK FREE FOR A WHILE !! LOL

The not so funny thing (NOT AT ALL) is:

After our picnic in the park we decided to stop at Wal-Mart and rent a movie at Red Box. I went to get out of the truck and my camera fell out of my purse and I stepped on it and cracked the LCD. I can still take pictures but cannot focus on my subject or delete or ANYTHING!!
Whaaaaaaaa!
I was so disgusted with myself.

Princess let me use her old one till I get mine fixed or replaced.

I took it to Idaho Camera last night and am waiting on a quote.

TEXAS TRIP & TRISTAN ......

I flew down to Texas (San Antonio to be exact) to see Chris and Princess and finally meet Tristan! It was a GREAT TRIP and I like to think little Tristan and I bonded! lol He is awesome!

The kids picked me up at the airport Tuesday evening and we met up with Randy and Julie Mumm. Some good friends from Austin! Julie just so happened to have a nursing convention in San Antonio on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and when she found out I was coming, we made arrangements to have dinner together and have a short visit before driving to Laredo for the remainder of the week!

It was great to see them and they were thrilled to see Chris and Princess again and to meet Tristan for the 1st time! We ate at a Mexican restaurant called the Alamo and it was dang good! Randy's favorite!

It was soooooo much fun to hook up with the Mumms and catch up on each other's families!

It was so great to meet this little guy! He is such a happy baby and has the cutest personality!

This was the perfect time to go because he is starting to interact and talk and smile! It was the BEST!

I'm so proud of Chris and Princess! They are awesome parents! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with all three of them!

OK, he might have fussed a time or two but HONESTLY, most of the time he just smiled and cooed!

CAN YOU BELIEVE THOSE BIG BROW EYES ???? Talk about a lady killer! He is so adorable!

I had no problem getting him to fall asleep! Must have been the QUEEN SIZE PILLOWS! lol

On Wednesday, we went to a park on the Rio Grande and had a BBQ!

Chris made Fajitas on the grill and it was so yummy!

Here's the "Master Chef" at work! Mesquite briquet's, salt and pepper was all it took!

Maybe it was the kind of meat he bought, I dunno ! Maybe it was cuz EVERYTHING cooked over a grill tastes good .....All I do know is it was DEEEE LISH!

After getting home that evening. Chris wanted me to see how much Tristan enjoyed showering with his daddy!

Don't get all excited ......... It wasn't like it sounds! Chris put on his swimming trunks and all 4 of us hung out in the bathroom! I took pictures while Chris and Princess washed and rinsed baby!

He certainly did LOVE it and didn't even cry when we took him out!

LOOK AT THAT FACE ..... HE IS DEFINITELY THINKING ............"Awhhhhh, this is the life!"

Check it out ..............Fast asleep again on those pillows! LOL !

Friday we went to a Flea Market! It was HOT! Nearly 100 and very humid! We found some shade and daddy gave Tristan His shades!

The kids found a BUMBO for Tristan! It was in perfect shape and ONLY $5 dollars! Not bad when the new ones are $40!

They took it home and washed and sanitized it really good and .........................

Wha la! Tristan really liked it! It will help strengthen his neck muscles and give him some booty time! SO Cute!!!
Asleep again!! Well of course! Look where he's at! LOL!

Saturday came way to soon! We had to make the two and 1/2 hour trip to San Antonio again to the airport so we got up and headed out around 11 AM.

It was tough to leave the kids again, especially with this new little addition but I am just so grateful I was able to go and visit! THANK YOU TONY MY LOVE!

I really am grateful for all of our families and all of our grand children! We are so blessed to be parents to 12 wonderful kids and 12 wonderful spouses and 24 TOTALLY AWESOME GRAND CHILDREN ...............and soon to be 25 thanks to our Texas Trio! lol

I couldn't be happier! If they can produce kiddies this cute, they definitely ought to have more!!

JUST CHECK OUT THESE FACES!!!

HE HAS EYE LASHES ANY WOMAN WOULD PAY GOOOD MONEY TO HAVE!
WHO COULD RESIST THIS ????

IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE TO GO AND MEET TRISTAN!~
GRAMMA MISSES HIM ALREADY!

REUNITED AFTER 28 YEARS!!

About 3 weeks ago, I was in Costco at the information counter and when I turned around, this little gal was staring at me ....... She said
"LaVerne ????" I said "Jane ????"
Then we proceeded to scream and hug and gab for a good 20 minutes!!!

We use to work together at Micron many many moons ago!! She credits me and another gal we worked with (Sandy Whitehead) for getting her and her husband together!
We took each other's phone numbers and addresses down and swore not to lose touch with each other EVER again!!
I called her before Easter and we had another good chat on the phone and then today she surprised me and showed up at the office and took me to lunch!
Her husband Randy is working in Washington right now so we are both husband less at the moment. She is such a great friend and I am so happy we have made contact again!

Friends are priceless! I love Jane! I can't wait for Tony and Randy to meet each other! I predict good times in the future!

WORK BEFORE PLAY .......

I had a very very BUSY weekend before I fly out for Texas on Tuesday .....

Friday was a Beeyoutiful day! Sunny, warm and just the type of weather needed for getting more of my garden planted. I started after work and continued working until the surprise thunder, lightening and rain storm hit! I loved it though. I got a few more seeds planted before the rain sent me running for the house.
Saturday morning I got up and was in the yard about 9:30. I worked till 3:30, planting the remainder of my garden seeds.
Peas, beans, beets, carrots, lettuce, edaname, potatoes and
SWEET PEAS !!!!

The tomato and pepper will get put in when I get home and there's no more fear of frost!
I potted flowers and hung them on the Sheppard's hooks and even lined the edge with marigolds!
The Sweet Peas (IF THEY GROW) will line the edge of the fence and HOPEFULLY grow up the fence ........ Oooooooh, it's so pretty in my mind! We'll see what happens! LOL
I sprayed all the weeds along the edge of the fence and in the decorative rock. I picked up twigs galore that were in the decorative rock! (remains of the ever shedding Willow tree!!)
I mowed and edged the lawn and sprayed "Miracle Grow" on all my newly planted seeds and flowers!

I've got to get the sprinkler system turned on so it won't all be dead when I come home next Saturday! Soooooo, Stillman is coming over Monday night to help me with that!
Bless his heart!
Just a couple of shots of the yard again for my dear Husbands enjoyment!

The tree in the front yard has bloomed a little more and the lilac is budding and should be beautiful and fragrant soon!
After working in the yard all day ............. I came in, took a shower and was too beat to do my hair so I went over to the Log Cabin on the bulevard and had my hair cut and higlighted!
It will be easy to take care of and Art like it so I'm happy! lol
Sunday was a FULL day as well! We had a bit of a scare! After sacrament was over Lynn told me she was taking Art to the hospital. Come to find out, he has a UTI and his lung had a film over it (close to catching pneumonia) so he is on antibiotics and will hopefully be feeling better SOON!
I was invited over to Kim and Glenda's for dinner and had a lovely visit with them. After eating Kim and I went to the Nampa Christian school and walked for a couple of miles.
Mom and Dad Norton came over to my house for a bit to give us the news on his condition. Bob and Joyce came over too when they arrived and we all had a good visit until I had to go on RS visits with Shelly, our new President!
No rest for the wicked ..... lol! It really was a GREAT weekend though.
Last Friday on my lunch break, I drove to Kuna to see the progress on Traci and Jason's home!
I should have posted these 1st but I didn't so ................
ENJOY them NOW!

Here's the new fridge that was missing in my last post!

The new table and chairs!

The new couch and love seat in the living room!

AND, the new couch and love seat in the basement family room!
She wanted me to wait till she was all moved back in and unpacked but I'm impatient and have enjoyed posting the continual progress! It really is lovely and she has been getting Killer Deals on her furniture purchases! She's a GREAT shopper!

I leave Tuesday morning for Texas so there will be a break in the action BUT you can bet I'll have a TON of pictures of Tristan when I return!
Let's just hope my yard is still alive when I get back!

SOME BUNNY LOVES TRISTAN !

Since I get to go down to Texas for a few days next week I wanted to make something to take to Tristan. FIRST time to meet him and I am so excited!

When I have scrap material I always make Yo Yo's with them and I have a huge box full of Yo Yo's. (I made more while I was watching conference @ the 1st of the month ... lol )

Anyway, I decided that I'd make a "Bunny" for Tristan .....

It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be so he's not perfect but he's made with love and I want Tristan to know that .......

Some bunnies Gramma loves him!

SPRING IS IN BLOOM~

I took this for Tony so he can see the ole homestead looks pretty darn good for a female in charge! lol I mowed the lawn on Saturday and got out the weed eater (evidence still on the sidewalk ..... should have swept) Things are starting to bloom and it is beautiful. I still have to replace the dead bush but will get to it soon.

DONE AT LAST ~

I went out to Traci's tonight to see the "NEW HOUSE" .... Wow, can you say GORGEOUS!
Believe me, that fire was a blessing in disguise! Her kitchen is absolutely breathtaking!
I love the granite counter top and the layout of the kitchen is awesome! It uses every space possible!
The fridge will go in the empty space above but they wanted the floors to cure till Monday.

I love her stove top too! Man, this is one cool kitchen!

Dishwasher and two ovens!

New windows throughout the entire top of the house and new carpet in both bedrooms upstairs.

And a new cabinet in the bathroom.

The hardwood is beautiful. It really is lovely . I can't wait to see all the furniture. Maybe next weekend! lol
