WE CELEBRATE OUR ANNIVERSARY'S WITHOUT OUR MEN!

Had a great weekend starting with my date and Deedra's date .... (with each other) to celebrate our anniversaries! Her 8th and my 6th! I was hesitant about posting because I look like an AMAZON WOMAN next to her but decided what the heck! I am what I am!

We started off by treating ourselves to Mongolian BBQ. Mmmmmm, it was delicious!

Some younger boys were sitting in the booth behind me and they blew the paper off their straw and it landed on Deedra. They apologised profusely. Since they broke the ice I asked one if them if he would take our picture. I said we were celebrating our anniversaries. The waiter overheard and came to our table and asked "Did you say you were celebrating your anniversary?" .... I had to clarify that we BOTH had an anniversary and our husbands are working in Iraq and so we went out together . The way he asked, I'm thinking he thought I was a dirty ole lady with a younger woman! lol

After dinner, we went to see "THE PRINCE OF PERSIA". It was really good and we both enjoyed it. It was a fun date! Thanks Deedra.

Saturday was busy! I got up at 6AM and went to my friends to have a garage sale. We worked it till 1PM, then cleaned up the took the leftover things to Idaho Youth Ranch. Then the two of us (Kim and me) went to Lions Park to a birthday party that was being given for an elderly sister in our ward. After dropping Kim off at her house, I went home and cleaned out the garage, cleaned my car, cleaned the patio and picked the raspberries. After going in, I did my laundry and cleaned the house and ate a bite to eat.before talking to Tony on Skype.

I was so exhausted that I didn't sleep very well. (I hate it when that happens)

Today is Sunday. I went to church and then I gave Mom Norton a ride home after choir so she asked me to stay and have dinner with them. We had eggs and sausage and some delicious homemade apricot pie! It was sooooo good!

I'm waiting for my home teachers to come and then my visiting teachers are coming and I believe my niece Charcie is going to be stopping over for the night on her way back to Rexburg.

I'll work on my lesson till then, maybe catch a few ZZZZZZZZZ's.

Awhhhhh, good times!

BUSY, BUT FUN EVENING .....

I made plans to go with Chris, Tammy and Katelynn to Costco after work last night. They got a gift certificate from a neighbor and needed some things so I hurried home after work, mowed my lawn, edged it with the weed eater and swept up a garbage can FULL of those darn fuzz balls off the tree! (I hope it's about done shedding cuz I'm tired of it !) Then I went to Costco, filled my car with gas and waited for them to get there.
The four of us went in and shopped! Chris is truly an accountant because he was adding things in his head as they shopped and when we checked out they had 76 cents left on the gift card! lol
Pretty good calculating Chris!!
I then treated them to a good ole Costco dinner! Don't get any better than that! ha ha .....

I left for home and Stillman called and wanted to know if I was there because he was returning some things. I said I wasn't but would be in 5 minutes!
When I got home I got out some curtains that I am hemming for a friend in the ward. I got started and Stillman showed up. We put the things away and as he was leaving we were discussing movies. He said they were watching ..........

INVICTUS ........... He asked me if I wanted to come over and watch it. I did .... so I followed him home! Alex was asleep on the couch and Jayden was so funny! He was wound up and wanted his daddy to dance with him, bounce him, swing him .... you name it! He kept turning the fan on and freezing us! (I know Tony ..... what you wouldn't give for some of that!!) But we watched the movie and it was good! We had a hard time understanding the words because of the heavy accents the characters had so Stillman put the thing on the TV where the words show up on the screen (can't remember what thats called) and there were a couple of time they used some BAD words!
It was kinda funny cuz I don't think we would have noticed if we hadn't read them! lol
Today I found out it was Stillman and Michelle's anniversary yesterday! NOW I FEEL LIKE A PARTY CRASHER!! Thank you for letting me ruin the romantic moment! I was a fun evening!

MERIDIAN DAIRY DAYS & EMMETT CHERRY FESTIVAL

Traci was out of town this past weekend and Jason needed to bale hay. It's been so wet that he hadn't been able to get it done and this weekend it was ready to be put up. I told him I would keep the kids so he could get it done. Can't bale hay with 4 children needing attention and especially Andrew! He's a handful no matter what the task! lol

Anyway, I picked the kids up Friday after work and took them into Meridian to the Dairy Days Parade! There was a BIG turnout but we managed to get seated right on the street in front of the carnival. It gave Andrew something to look at before the parade started so it was perfect!
Here he is running back to me with a big smile on his face, a candy in one hand and a binky and string cheese in the other! What more could a two year old ask for!

The three older kids all got a shirt in the parade but Andrew insisted on wearing Isabel's and she is such a sweetheart, she let him! It looked like a dress on him but he didn't care! He insisted on wearing it on Saturday too so he must have liked it! ......... A LOT!!

Saturday, we drove to Emmett to check out the Cherry Festival. It was pretty cool but I'll warn ya right now, if you ever go, be sure to bring a wad of cash! It was expensive!!! We basically ended up walking around and looking at all the booths that were selling things, eating our snacks that we brought from home (thank goodness) AND watching the belly dancers that were performing on stage! (Andrew was really getting his groove on when we did that) It was funny to watch him shake and bob his head!
As we were leaving Caden got to throw 4 balls at the dunk tank and he dropped the little girl TWICE! It was impressive!
We then headed back to Boise and eventually to Kuna just as it was clouding up and getting ready to rain yet again! Jason was so grateful for the break because he was able to get his work done before the big rain storm that evening. It came down hard as I headed back to Nampa.
I went to Deedra's for an hour so she could go get gas and a few groceries before Sunday.
Then I hurried home and cleaned up before my dear sweet husband skyped me from Mosul!
Mom and Dad Norton came over and we had a good visit with Tony! A perfect end of a busy day!

Oooops ..... I DID IT AGAIN!

WOW, what a weekend! Spent 2 days in bed!
I had made plans with a couple of friends to go to Melba to the community garage sale and I was the designated driver so was pretty much obliged to go.
I got up Saturday morning and was in the shower and decided to shave my legs! You know how it is~ gotta have clean shaven legs for a bunch of rednecks!
I had one leg up on the shower seat and was hard at it and POW! My back slipped out and I nearly buckled right there on the shower floor! Glad I was able to make it out on my own cuz that would not have been a pretty sight for anyone to clean up!

My friends were countin on me so I managed to get dressed and went to pick them up. We drove to Melba and they did most of the looking around while I hung out in the reclined position in my car. Mary wanted to get "the best hamburger around" before going home so she told me to go to "Cook's Two Hole" bar and grill. We got a burger and ate it outside. Mary said she had a pill in her back pocket that would help me out. She gets them for migraines. I was reluctant but she convinced me it would help the back pain and I had just eaten so would be alright. I took it and we headed home. I dropped the girls off and I went home to lay down and sleep. After a couple of hours I decided I wanted to get up and go to JoAnn's to use a 50% off coupon I had because it expired that day. I managed to get into the car and halfway down the boulevard when the nausea hit me. I immediately made a u turn and headed back home and barely made it to the nice cool commode in the house before losing the "best hamburger around" ..... I was sick the rest of the day and was back in bed till Sunday morning! I was going to go to church but was so stiff and sore (although I wasn't sick to my stomach any more) so I called the R.S. president and told her I was not going to make it. She told my Bishop (who just so happens to be our chiropractor) and he called me and told me to come to his house at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. He said he was leaving town for a week at 4PM so would take care of me before he left! What a blessing! He told me "little wonder your hurting you have 5 disc's out" ..... bless his heart for seeing me yesterday. I'm tender today but feel 100% better. I've got an appointment with his son this afternoon just to make sure I'm still good!

I sure didn't get anything accomplished this weekend! The lawn needs mowed, the laundry needs done, the furniture needs dusted, the garden needs weeded BUT ............. Sometimes, ya just need to slow down and do nothing.
That's exactly what I did this weekend! .............. NOTHING!

YOU'VE HEARD OF AMERICA'S GOT TALENT...~ ... WELL SO DOES KUNA! PRESENTING SOPHIA & ISABEL & FRIENDS!

Last week Sophia asked me if I would come to her's and Isabel's Talent Night!
Well, OF COURSE !!! !!!
I drove out right after work Friday night and was greeted by these two Lovely little girls! All dressed up and ready to perform! They had the cutest frilly skirts and the mother of one of the other girls (who performed with them) made them matching bows for their hair!

Traci put some makeup on them andIsabel said "Wow, my eyelashes really are long!"
They looked so adorable!

Here they are at the High School with their other two friends who cheered with them!
They did 4 cheers and it was absolutely entertaining! I video taped it but cannot get it to download so I'll try it on Facebook.
Sophia had an admirer! Before the performance he kept taking her picture with his camera and after the performance he wanted to hang around and flirt! Luckily, Sophia was annoyed and did her best to ignore him! It was funny!

Isabel was so cute! She adores her older sister and learned her cheers really well! She did the splits and it was so fun to watch! They had black Pom Pom's (that Andrew called
"Booty Shakes") HILARIOUS!
It was a fun night followed by a BBQ at Traci and Jason's home. Mmmmmmm, it was good!
