MY WEEKEND CAME AND WENT WAaaaaaY TO FAST!!

WOW, ever since I got put in as YW President, I have felt like I'm constantly on the go! Well, I am!!! lol Our Ward was assigned to clean the church for February so I encouraged the girls every Sunday and again on Wednesday to do it so they could get a value in "Good Works" signed off. I felt like I had to be there to set the example. I had ONE girl show up ONE Saturday the entire month! ( we even bribed them with food!!) I know they are busy too but come on!! Oh well, I got it signed off in my book! lol

I've had visits to make and meetings out the wazoo to attend! This past Saturday, I hurried to the church so I could get assigned the bathrooms so I could leave as soon as I had them cleaned BECAUSE there was the Relief Society Conference at 9:30. It was awesome and I'm glad I went but by the time I got home at 1:30, I was so beat I took a 2 hour nap! Then I had laundry and cleaning to do and things to get ready for Sunday.
Sunday's are incredibly busy! Yesterday for example .... Ward Council at 10AM. (missed choir practice cuz, believe it or not, I can't be in 2 places at once) Sacrament meeting at 11AM. The Bishop met with me and my counselors during the Sunday School hour. 1PM was Young Women's. I hurried home at 2PM, grabbed a bite to eat and then had to go back for an interview with the Bishop. Then hurried home for a Presidency meeting at 4PM and my home teachers came at 5:30. On top of some family visits here and there and work and trying to get in some exercise ....... well, there just aren't enough hours in a day!
I guess we just do the best we can! I really enjoy the job so I'm not complaining. Just wish it would slow down a wee bit! lol

SATURDAY SERVICE ~

What a busy day ! It's our Wards turn to clean the church this month so I have been going every Saturday so I can earn service hours toward my Good Works Value for Personal Progress.

I want to sleep in soooooo bad but guess it will have to wait till next month. I got to do the windows today and it took me so long I was the last one to leave.

I came home and showered and got dressed and then went to Costco and bought food for a funeral. I had made a big potato salad last night and picked up fruit bowls, rolls and meat and cheese trays and headed to Boise. Suzanne is our Risk Manager at work and her mother passed away. The funeral was at Summer's in downtown Boise and me and Lynette, LaRee and Sally bought the food (ProPeople is reimbursing us) The other gals each made a salad and picked up pies. It was very nice and we got so many thank yous from the family and friends.

I just got home though and I am so tired! We got to Summer's at 11:30 this morning and I got home at 4:30 this afternoon! I think I'm gonna take a nap while my laundry is in the wash and before my hubby calls me! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ


Summer's is an LDS funeral home. It's very old and antique but lovely!
The chapel ~

Behind the curtains (which are on the right side of the chapel) is a small kitchen area. It is where we set up the food. There was an old antique china hutch and a matching table. They had the neatest kitchen accessories (which we were welcome to use) After the service, the curtains were drawn back and the family filed through and filled their plates.

It was nice to do service today.

In those famous word of Forest Gump! lol Yesterday was interesting with the snow flurries and then the hail storm ...... Then I went home from work on dry roads! I went to Young Women's last night and came home on dry roads ....
Then I woke up to this!! Actualy, it is so beautiful! Look at that sky!!
A nice little winter wonderland all over again! It's actually very icy and the roads were very slick on the way to work this morning.

I had to admit that the bushes that I love so much almost looked like they will in spring ........

I can't wait !

FLOWERS FROM MY SWEETHEART!

Today is Valentines Day and I couldn't wait to get to work cuz Tony told me last night that he'd sent me a special email for Valentine's Day!
It was a sweet love letter and at the bottom he sealed it with a kiss and had several little roses! He said he'd hand picked them for me! The he said "OK, just a finger" ! It was so funny!
Thank you Sweetheart! You made my day! I love you!

LITTLE JACK TURNS TWO !

We met up at Curtis and Deedra's tonight to celebrate Jack's 2nd birthday!
Boy! Was he excited! It was like he knew THIS party was his!!
He was all smiles and greeted everyone that came in with a big hug!!

Nikki was so excited because Gramma GG gave Jack fireworks ! She could hardly wait for the sparklers and pops to begin!!

He got some clothes and he was happy to get them!! He held them up to his face and said "clothes" with all the love and happiness he could muster! IT WAS ADORABLE! Don't see too many kids excited about a pair of pants and a shirt BUT he was!!

He got a couple of books and immediately set to reading them!! UPSIDE DOWN EVEN!! It was so cute!

THE BIG GIFT !!
His parents bought him his 1st car!! He pretty much sat in it the rest of the night!!

He was pretty serious in this picture! Not sure what was going through that cute little head....maybe wondering if it was safe to get out .... will someone confiscate my wheels???

It was a fun evening!
