SURGERY

I had my shoulder surgery on Monday the 23rd.  It turns out that the tear was worse than expected. I was in the surgery room for 4 hours. Dr. Curtain said he had to do A LOT OF REPAIR! It was done orthoscopically with mostly pokes but some incisions! I'm sure the Dr would cringe at that description!!  lol  Art and Lynn came to take me home & stay wth me till Tony came home from work.

I have been very nauseaus and light headed most of the week. Art & Lynn have been so good  to come over during the day and see to my needs while my dear sweet caretaker (TONY) waits on me hand & foot every night!!  I'm on the mend!

IT'S GARDENING TIME !

I had to go to St Lukes after work today to be fitted for the sling I will be wearing for 6 weeks come Monday. It dawned on me
(after putting the HUGE THING ON,) that I will not be able to do much. So when I got home, I cooked Tony dinner and we watched an episode of NCIS as we ate. Afterwards, Tony went back outside to finish putting the compost on the garden. I cleaned up the kitchen and then got my garden starts planted.

I saw this on PINTEREST. I cut toilet paper rolls in half and put in some potting soil and then my seeds. I filled them up with more soil and then watered them and set them in a sunny window. We'll see how they do. Once they start and get big enough, I'm suppose to be able to plant the whole thing in the garden because the roll will decompose.

I stepped out to place the bucket of potting soil on the back patio and took a picture of my man, hard at work, tilling the compost into the garden!!

Tony may have to plant the early stuff himself unless we are able to get it in Saturday morning. We have to go to one of the families he home teaches on Saturday and dig up her garden spot. Good thing is, it's very small.

I labeled my starts. (All but the flowers) I have cherry tomatoes as well as regular beef tomatoes. I have onions, beets, cilantro and basil. I figured the peas, beans and carrots, chard and whatever else we decide to grow can be put in directly!
After all, I'm not sure this is gonna work!!

OUR MOTHER'S & FATHER'S DAY PRESENT TO EACH OTHER & TONY'S BIRTHDAY PRESENT ...... TO BE UNVEILED AT A LATTER DATE!!

Last Saturday, Tony and I went shopping for a particular item we both wanted,
after discovering that the one we had looked into 1st would not fit .......
(Am I getting your curiosity going?) ....................
We settled on another one ...
same but different!!

The good thing was that the one we bought was less money that the original item so we purchased another item we have been wanting to go with it!
The unveiling will come later .................. right now it looks like
"MATER" from the movie CARS!
lol

I THINK SPRING HAS FINALLY ARRIVED !!~

Things are FINALLY starting to green
up and BLOOM!!
I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!

We have several weeds in the berm that Tony has been wanting to spray ...... BUT it has been too breezy so haven't been able to take care of those nasty little things.
The good thing is: they are green too so it doesn't look too bad! lol

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Daffodils!! They are so much later than the neighbors and I'm not sure why BUT now their's are gone and mine are just starting! ( SMILE!!)

My violet in the house has even started blooming more than usual!!

Pretty colors of green and pink and yellow ....... so far!!
I know there will be more as Spring and Summer progress!!
Awhhhhhh! God sure did decorate our world beautifully!!

I HAVE A TORN ROTATOR

I went to the Dr. yesterday for the ultra sound to see what exactly is going on with my shoulder. I have a torn rotatory. I'm not sure it looks exactly like this but I did find out I have to go in for surgery to have it fixed. It makes sense now why my shoulder always hurts and hangs lower than my other shoulder!!



I'm waiting for the Dr. to call me and schedule the surgery. It will be an in and out day surgery and a couple of weeks recovery and a lot of physical torture .... I mean therapy!!
BUT ...... Eventually, I will feel like doing something again. I haven't had much desire to do any through cleaning in my house and it needs it!! My bathrooms are especially scary!!

EASTER SUNDAY

Well, we had good intentions on Sunday to go to Stake Conference but like I said.... I took a Vicodin pill and it wiped me out!! I had the best sleep I've had in months ....... so good that I had a hard time waking up!! Tony said I must have really needed it so he let me sleep and we missed Conference!
I felt groggy when I got up so after breakfast Tony suggested we take a walk! The weather was beautiful! The 4 of us walked to the park.

Heather & Rowan played in the swing set area while Tony and I walked around Lions Park so I could clear my head!!
After we met up with Heather and Rowan again, I caught Rowan having fun throwing the New bark that was laid down!


Look mom ... it's raining bark! lol

We were gone about an hour and this is what happened on the way home! MOM had to carry Rowan! I guess we wore him out! Papa tried to carry him but he wasn't having it! Only MOM could do!!

After we got home he was wide awake again and ready to go hunting for his Easter Basket. However he didn't want his shoes on anymore so he took them off .......

Headed to the backyard ...........

And found his Basket back by the shed! I had a picture of it but somehow didn't get it when my pictures downloaded. ??? Anyway, he got two new puzzles and he was thrilled! He also got some starburst candy and skittles!! Evidently,
HE DOES LIKE THAT KIND OF CANDY!!

The kids left around 3PM (his nap time) so Rowan would sleep part of the way home.
Heather called around 7:30 to say they had arrived back in Layton!
I was so happy she and Rowan came for a visit!! It was a nice to see them!!

ROWAN'S PROWESS WITH PUZZLES!!

Rowan put his Dinosaur puzzle together for "PAPA" that's what he calls Tony!

It was so cute to watch him! He'd pick up a piece, slip in in place and then look at Papa for kudo's!!

The he stood up and threw his arms in the air when he finished and yells "YAY"!!!


This is a new dinosaur puzzle he got this weekend. It took him a little longer the 1st time he put it together but the 2nd time around ...... About 15 minutes!!!

OUR SATURDAY EASTER PARTY AT CHRIS & TAMMY'S

After a very busy Friday and a HORRIBLE NIGHT of shoulder pain, I was happy to be able to go to Tammy's for a nice EASTER GET TOGETHER with the kids! Tony and I baked a ham, Heather made a sweet potato casserole and we both made some cupcakes! We arrived and were greeted by Colby & Krista, Deedra, Stillman and Michele & Tammy and Chris!

Little Lehi was entertaining the women in the living room so I gave him his little bunny and got a picture ! He's growing so fast and is such a cute little guy!!

Then I got a picture of some of our lovely daughters!

These are the cupcakes Heather and I made!! Heather saw the idea on PINTEREST so we had to try t!!

Tammy and Chris have a Playground swing set that Rowan found very entertaining!!

The weather was a bit breezy but not bad so we all set up chairs and ate outside! It was a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

All I can say is : I'VE GOT TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT!! I don't think about it too much till I see a picture of myself!! YIKES!! I guess I need to blow this up and place it on my desk so I can see myself all the time!!

After we ate, we asked the kids to go inside till we hid the Easter Eggs! Then we lined them up at the back door.............

Counted to 10 and then let them go!!


They were all picking up eggs like crazy!!

Rowan doesn't really like candy very much!! I KNOW!! ISN'T THAT CRAZY?? He was perfectly happy with his 7 eggs!!

Like I said, Rowan doesn't get all that excited over the candy.... so he climbed back up on the play set and wanted to roll his eggs down the slide! lol I talked him into a little golf ball instead!

I can never get a picture of Nephi but I tricked him! While he was admiring his basket of goodies, I got the camera ready and then called his name! TADA!! I got him! lol

It was our Stake Conference and so we left Chris & Tammy's a little after 6PM. Tony gave me a Vicodin pill to take because my shoulder was bothering me A LOT!! We left Heather at home to put Rowan to bed and we took off. I was OK for awhile and the talks were tremendous but nearly passed out about half way through. When we got home, I went to bed and it was the best nights sleep I've had in literally MONTHS!!
