GREAT BOOK !!

I went to Traci's on Friday night for Andrew's birthday. They were talking about this book. Both she and Jason had read it so she let me borrow it.
WOW!!!! I started it Saturday morning and I finished it Monday afternoon!

It was mesmerizing! I couldn't put it down and I'm not a big fan of History books!! It was so good, well written and I learned so much I didn't really know!
I highly recommend it!

DATE WITH JEFF & CYNTHIA CHANDLER

We have discovered that we enjoy a lot of the same books, movies and TV programs that Jeff and Cynthia do so we have been going out with them about once a month. We had planned on going to see THE HUNGER GAMES this coming Friday but Cynthia emailed me yesterday and asked if we could go last night because she is having a couple of ingrown toe nails taken out this weekend and won't be up to walking for a bit.

I wanted to see THE HUNGER GAMES because I enjoyed the books so much. Cynthia hadn't read them yet but was in agreement after they read the reviews etc.

We met at the Galaxy Theater in Meridian after work. The movie was 2 1/2 hours long and it was done really well!! We loved it! Cynthia is now going to borrow my books and read them before the next movie come out.

VISIT FROM CHRISTA !

Christa came to town on Friday and gave her sister a wedding shower. We weren't able to see her Friday due to that and Saturday she was busy with her family but she blessed us with a visit on Sunday afternoon after church.

Tony and I had invited the Missionaries for dinner so Christa came and had dinner with us as well. After the Missionaries left, Art and Lynn came over and we all had a good visit together before Christa headed out to pick up Traci's kids. She was having a sleepover with them at her parents home in Boise.

It was a short visit but it was so good to see her. I hope next time Jeff can come with her.
We had a great time.

ANDREW TURNS FOUR ON THE 25TH

Friday night, Tony and I went out to Kuna to celebrate Andrew's 4th birthday with the family. His birthday wasn't actually till Sunday but Traci wanted to celebrate it while Jill and the kids were still in town. We were met at the door with his
"WANTED POSTER" ......

It was a Cowboy theme and one of the games was
"Pin the Pick on the Goldmine!"

We were joined by Ann and Dan and Ben as well as Gavin and Jill and the two little kids.
Traci had ordered a "Jump House" for the kids so while we were outside watching them a bit I got a picture of Caden, Tony and Gavin.

We laughed at the stair step in height!! I'm sure soon, Caden will out height Tony! He is growing so fast!

Hawkins and Scotlyn were having a great time in the Jump House!

Andrew reluctantly let me take his picture before he went into the Jump House!

It was chilly out side so we went in for a dinner of Pizza, chips and dips as well as lots of veggies and then the Cake & Ice Cream! Andrew blew out the candles and we all helped clean up the food! lol

He was pretty thrilled with the Captain America toy he got from Grandpa and Grandma McGregor.

Sophia, Scotlyn and Isabel took a short breather so I could get a picture of the girls!

Again, reluctantly, I got Andrew to hold still long enough for Scotlyn to plant a BIRTHDAY KISS on his cheek!
Then all the COWBOYS & COWGIRLS posed for me!

I gave Andrew the Finding Waldo books .................... Caden and the girls liked them and Caden said he remembered his mom taking those books to church when he was little to keep him quiet! lol

Andrew polishing off the soda!! IF he can't have a
"MOUNTAIN CAN DO" then he'll settle for a diet coke! lol

Hawkins was hiding his bag of COWBOY TREATS under his hat !! Notice the bump near his right eye ..... He got nailed in the Jump House!

Jill and the kids were leaving Saturday morning to head back to Arizona. We were disappointed that we weren't able to see Claire and Mostyn but they were here on Spring Break to see there dad so hopefully this summer ......

We said our good byes at the car and then we both headed for home. (Love that face of Hawk's in the background!!
It was a fun time seeing the kids. We hadn't seen Traci and the kids since they got back from Disney World so that was nice to spend time with the two families!

FUN WITH SOME CRAZY KIDS!!!

I had to close shop last night and Tony had a class after work and it lasted till 9PM. I asked Jill if she could come for a visit since she and the kids will be leaving SATURDAY for Arizona again!!
Spring Break just isn't long enough!
She and the two little ones came out at 6PM and stayed till a little after nine last night. We watched a movie and ate Pizza and played UNO.

You can't tell these two have crazy parents can you???

I think this was the only shot of Scotlyn where she was smiling pretty!!

And Hawk was on a roll with his crazy faces! Too funny!

Scotlyn was saluting, well ..... kinda! lol

She has crazy wild eyes!

And fly away hair!

And Hawk says, "PICK ME, PICK ME!"

It was a fun evening! Hawk is quite the Uno player! They both had me laughing all evening!
They are real jokers, just like mom and dad!!

A CELEBRATION OF MARCH BIRTHDAYS

Sunday evening, we got together with some of the family to celebrate most of the March Birthdays.
It was exciting to have Jill and the two little ones join us! She surprised everyone because I didn't tell them that she was coming!

Scotlyn was happy to pose for me when she came in the house! She's such a cutie!

Lynn's birthday was Friday. We weren't able to get together with her so I gave her a Violet on Sunday.
The little girls had fun eating together at the kitchen table while a lot of the adults ate in the dining room.

After having a little dinner, the adults came into the kitchen and each birthday person was given a cupcake with a candle in it and we sang
"Happy Birthday" to them.
Lynn, Tammy, Katelyn and Alex were the recipients of the song.
Nephi was not feeling well and Blake wasn't there either.

Then Katie opened her gift from us. Some Disney Robin Hood plush toys.

Jack enjoyed the cupcakes from Alex's party! Alex was born on St. Patty's day so he got green cupcakes this year!! Yummy!

And Jack has the GREEN MUSTACHE
to prove it! lol

It must have been some tasty icing because Hawkins slurped it all off before eating the cake!!

We gave Alex a couple of "WHERE'S WALDO" books and
EVERYONE enjoyed them!! Stillman said he used to always check them out from the Library when he was a young kid.

Hawkins and Jill had fun trying to find Waldo .................

And Stillman handed the book over to Michele when his eyes went buggy from straining to find the pesky little guy!! lol

Meanwhile, Chris played dolls with Katelynn! He's a good dad!!

Several of us gathered at the dining room table to play
"APPLE'S TO APPLE'S" while the kids ran around and played! It was so much fun to have Jill and the 2 little one's join in the fun with us! Sure miss having them around!

9:00 rolled around and we all decided it was time to go home and get ready for a new week!

Jill getting the shoes on the kiddies .......................

And Art making sure we all got the point ..........
IT'S TIME TO LEAVE!!!!

Ha ha ha .............. Art was moving his gun that was in a corner in the dining room and said he didn't want any of the kids to touch it! I asked him to pose with it and we all made jokes about him booting us out etc!! It was funny!

BLAKE TURNS 11

March is another busy month for birthdays!!
SEVEN THIS MONTH!!
Tammy was the 1st and today was Blakes. They went out to dinner at Rocky Mountain Pizza. They invited us to go but Tony had a dentist appointment right after work and I'm dieting & had already eaten my dinner, so we declined. We did go over after they got home to watch Blake open his gifts and to have Ice Cream Cake!! (I declined .... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??)

His sisters made him wear a ski mask (over his eyes) and he had to guess what his gifts were.
His dad liked it and said it saved him from wrapping all the presents! lol

Tony and I with the three Cleaver Grand kids! Ellie, Alivia and Blake!

Happy 11th Birthday Blake!

BEAUTIFUL FULL MOON!

Wednesday the 7th, I took the Laurels to the INSTITUTE for a special evening and introduction to all the Institute offers!!
On the way over, there was a beautiful full moon so I had Callie Butterfield take a picture for me!

I thought she captured it pretty well. We were driving in the car when she took it.
SIMPLY another beautiful creation of our HEAVENLY FATHER!
