THE YOUNG WOMEN'S FUND RAISER

IT'S OVER!!!! FINALLY! I stressed about this event and It's finally over!!! I was so glad that Heather came and was able to help me prepare all this food!

I got up at 7:30 Friday morning (I took the day off from work) and I started by getting 72 rolls rising so I could bake them. While they were raising, I loaded my car with all the plates, flatware and decorations and then we drove to the church and dropped it all off. We then headed to Costco to buy the salads, dressings and baby carrots!
Now the preparation begins!!

There was a lot of stirring involved and I needed Heather's help
BIG TIME!! I had two casseroles to bake that Effie Dickerson had prepared and I put FOUR together myself!

My little HELPER!!! Thank you Heather!

When Tony got home from work around 4PM, he and I headed to the church and and we put up the tables and chairs. I got the table clothes out of the RS closet and set one on each table. Then I noticed there were 2 casseroles in the refrigerator that needed baking so I put them in the oven and headed back to the house to get all of my casseroles!

I had asked the girls to be at the church at 5PM so I grabbed my casseroles and still had two in the oven baking at home that I asked Tony to bring when he came at 6PM. The girls came as directed and I put them to work, setting all the tables with the table cloth, decorations and the cups and flatware! We had set up two long tables for the girls to put their desserts on for the silent auction.
There was some pretty yummy stuff on the tables!!

It was a pretty successful turnout considering the 1st counselor in the Bishopric's son got married that evening as well!! We had a lot of people ask us if we would start at 6PM instead of 7PM so they could do both! WE DID!!! That was another thing I had to do during the day ...CALL EVERYONE WHO HAD PURCHASED A TICKET AND REMIND THEM TO COME EARLY!!

The girls made $942.50! We were happy with that! It paid for the 12 girls that came to help plus 3 more! YAY!!
I was so sore that night that I couldn't sleep! I spent the night on the couch in a sitting position with my arm propped on pillows. I will sure be glad to have this arm fixed (If that's possible)

UPDATE: I had two girls turn in money late!! We made #1087.50 total!! 18 girls can go to camp!!! YAY!!
