BISHOP'S NIGHT @ GIRLS CAMP

Tony drove me up to Camp Glenwood after I got off work last night. It was "Bishop's Night" and the only day I was able to go up this year. The girls were all happy to see us. We picked up Mandy Bostrom and Sister Edge and took them with us as well. We had 21 girls at camp this year and I was able to get a group picture just before we went to the program and dinner. They looked so cute in their green Hawaiian skirts and "Got Worth" shirts!
The Bishop didn't come up in time for the skits and so Tony stood in for the Bishop for our ward. They had a hula hoop contest for the Bishops to determine which camp got to eat 1st. Tony did it the way you are suppose to while others twirled it on their arms and necks. WE LOST!  ha ha ..... He was a good sport and we appreciated him going up in place of the Bishop.
The girls all looked so cute in their skirts and did a cute skit about spiders. After a delicious dinner of Hawaiian Haystacks, we listened to a couple of speakers and then went back to our individual camps for a "Campfire Testimony Meeting."  I was very impressed. ALL the girls except for one bore her testimony. Three of them did it twice. One young lady who wasn't even a member stood and expressed her feelings about the spirit and love she felt at camp. She even went up to Tony after the fireside and hugged him and told him that she appreciated his words. Tony had stood and told the girls how special they were and then he went on to tell them that he had been blessed to find a special "Daughter of God" and expressed his love and appreciation for me. It was a very special evening and I am so grateful to my dear husband who made it a point to see that I was able to go.
