GENERAL CONFERENCE WEEKEND & HAVERFIELDS'S 65TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!~

Tony and I started off Conference weekend by attending the 65th Wedding Anniversary of Bob and Joyce Haverfield on Friday night. It was held at Clint and Heidi's home. I knew the Haverfield's when I was growing up in Missoula Montana.  Who'd have ever guessed that one day I would meet and marry their nephew Tony!!

This is Joyce and Bob with all her siblings and their spouses. My in-laws in the back on the left.( Art and Lynn Norton) Joyce's brother Jeff and his wife Cynthia in the middle. (I dated Jeff twice during my single days and his, again not knowing I would marry his nephew one day) and Joyce's youngest sister Ada and her husband Melvin on the right.

Here's the family that was in attendance at the party.  They were missing their eldest son Dave and his family as well as their youngest daughter Lona and her family. Some of the one's in attendance were missing some family members but all in all it was a great turnout and a wonderful party for Bob and Joyce.

Here is Bob and Joyce and three of their 5 children. Heidi, Joel and Cindy. I grew up with these kids in Missoula and even went to Jr. Prom with Joel.  Cindy dated my x-husband for a while as well when we were still young kids. We have a big history together.

And in the end, we all ended up being related! lol Tony and I are so grateful to have found one another. It has been a great life. Saturday, we enjoyed watching General Conference together. It has been 50 years since I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I was baptized  on April 6th 1963, along with my Mother and 2 sisters. My dad was already a member and my 2 brother's were too young still to be baptized.  It has been such a GREAT  blessing in our lives.  Tony and I watched Conference again on Sunday  and felt uplifted by the wonderful messages from our dear Prophet, President Thomas S. Monson as well as the Apostles and other speakers. I know the church is true and I appreciate the guidance we receive from our leaders. Satan already knows who is going to win this war on earth so he is trying extra hard to take as many with him as he can. I'm glad I am on the winning team and have such great examples to follow and help me through.  I am so grateful for the extra spiritual boost I get every 6 months from General Conference.
