Dixie Rock is a Panoramic View Point that overlooks the older part of the city.
It was a spectacular in and of itself! Doesn't look very impressive from here but when you get on it and around it ...... IT DEFINITELY WAS!!
Here we are standing in between 2 HUGE rocks which formed a large cave with a small opening at the back and a open roof.
There was a little family that took our picture on top of the rock overlooking the temple and the older part of town. You can see just how windy it was! My hair was slicked back big time! lol
After leaving the View Point we drove to the Tabernacle and took a tour. A Sister and her husband from Australia were the missionaries working today. It was fun to listen to her, (such a cute accent) A non-member couple went through with us and they were from Colorado. They have friends who are members and so they were taking all the tours in St. George. The Sister Missionary told us that all of the modern day Prophets except Joseph Smith have spoke at this atlar. Pretty cool!!
There are two spiral staircases on both sides of the tabernacle that were built by Mit Romney's great great great grandfather! How awesome is that!! They were incredible. I am truly in awe of the Pioneer Saints. The things they did with their hands is incredible but it was accomplished because of their great faith!
It's been another good day! We are going to relax this evening and watch a movie and TOMORROW WE WILL RIDE BIKES!!! lol
