We went to the gym today. I walked 2 miles and then rode the elliptical for 3 1/2 miles. Tony walked 3 miles. My feet get the sharp pains shoot across the tops and heels so I did what the therapist told me to do and it helped. When we got home, we ate the rest of the quiche and some watermelon. It was so good. Tony and I have ate more watermelon this year than we ever have. It has been so good so we just keep buying them...at COSTCO!
After breakfast, Tony worked on the things he has to get ready for this weekends Priesthood activity. I went up to my craft room and made a couple of cards. I only made two because they weren't my favorite. I'll have to come up with a better design. My flowered scalloped edge punch wasn't working so I went with the circle punch. Tony tried to make the flowered one work and it busted into a bunch of pieces. lol He felt bad but I told him it was OK. I couldn't get it to work either so now I can just toss it and not worry about it.
I decided to get ready to go to Scotlyn's 1st volleyball game. It was at 6 this evening and I hadn't done by hair or face so I got to it. I also painted my toes and wore my new patriotic shoes! I really love them!! I put on my blue pants and my AMERICA shirt and then went down and warmed up leftovers for Tony's dinner. I ate a piece of toast and the remainder of the watermelon. At 5:15, we took off to return some leg braces to Kohls and then over to RIDGEVIEW for the game.
I thought it started at 6 but evidently, the Sophomores got done early so the JV's were already playing. It was tied 11 to 11.
They played against CAPITOL and it was a couple of great games but unfortunately Capitol managed to win the 1st two matches so it went on to the Varsity girls.
It was still fun to watch and Scotlyn has been improving a lot since she 1st started playing. So proud of her. We stayed and watched the 1st match of the Varsity girls and WOW! Both sides were tremendous but the RIDGEVILLE girls won! We had to leave so we could get to COSTCO to pick up Tony's prescription. I'll need to call Scotlyn tomorrow to see if they won the 2nd match too!
Scott had to leave for a church meeting so I got a quick picture of him and his baby girl before he took off. It was fun to see him and Jill. I should have got a picture of Jill as well but we were in the grandstands and it was hard to do.
Jill took one of us as we were leaving. The funny thing was, the game had a theme and it was RED WHITE & BLUE! Jill asked me if I got the memo. lol NO, I just wanted to wear my new shoes! It was fun. There were several kids (mostly the boys) who were dressed in the theme. I fit right in! lol
We stopped at COSTCO and I stayed in the car because the only thing Tony was going to get was his prescription. I waited and waited and soon he comes back with another watermelon! YAY! We came home and watched AMERICA'S GOT TALENT and then cut up the watermelon together & put it in the fridge!
Guess what we are having for breakfast? lol
