YAY, RAIN!~

WOW!  We had a big thunderstorm this morning while I was getting ready to go to the doctor's office. Had to be there at 9 so got up at 7:30 and was ready to leave at 8:30.  It was booming big time outdoors!! Then the clouds let loose and it was a downpour for about 5 minutes.

Then it quit as quickly as it started. I left at 8:30 and it was spitting a bit but nothing serious.  Now the sun is shining and it's a little muggy out but nice! lol
After my doctor appointment, I came home and Tony was up and ready to go to the gym. We went and I walked 2 miles and then did the elliptical for 3 and 1/2. Tony walked the 3 miles and then we came home. I went over to Joyce's to help her forward messages to her family about her brother Jeff. He is getting moved to the
ELK'S Medical Center
today so hopefully, he'll have a quick recovery there.  It was a pretty serious medical problem so it may take a while.
We took Deedra and Garrett to lunch before they took off for home. Garrett wanted a buffet so GOLDEN CORRAL was the only show in town. lol  Not my favorite place to go but it was Garrett's choice so that was OK.

I still managed to eat more than I should. UNFORTUNATELY!
Just before we left, we got a call from Kevin informing us that Carol Ross was in a car accident. He wanted Tony to go to the hospital with him to give her a blessing. Tony told him we were taking Deedra & Garrett to lunch 1st and then we could meet him there. Well, he got Karl Stucki to go with him instead. He told us that Carol had gone through a yellow light (I'm thinking it must have been red) because she has broken ribs, a broken clavicle and a broken arm. Evidently, she was released from the hospital so I am waiting for her to call me and then we'll go see her. I got a card ready to give her but I think we will have to get some meals etc. ready to go.
I have also been in touch with Cynthia today and she has sent me a lot of info on Jeff.
This was last Sunday and he was in really bad shape then. He'd had a stroke and then got a brain bleed. It was touch and go but I guess he is going to pull through.

They are moving him to the Elks, like I said earlier so hopefully, he'll be ready to go home in a week or so. He's still a little mixed up as to the year etc.  and hasn't walked much, so he's
still not out of the woods.
What a day. You just never know what is going to happen.
