2 DAY COMBO!~

Sunday was a full day!! I went to Ward Council for Jenni because she was in Arizona for a wedding. It was at 10 am and went till 11:15. I got home and wasn't there long when we turned around and went back to church for choir practice.
It was Fast Sunday and the choir always sings a Prelude song before Sacrament meeting starts. We sang
"THIS IS MY FATHER'S WORLD".
It was a pretty easy song but very beautiful. I think we did good! Sacrament meeting and Sunday School were great. The Stake asked for 5 volunteers to go to the Temple Monday morning to clean. 7 of us volunteered. The Bishop and his wife, the Nicholson's, Johanna McDougal and Tony and I. After our meetings, we went home and got our Mexican drink and headed to Joyce's for dinner. She made Enchilada's. They were good. Like I said, we supplied the drink and Lynn brought ice-cream and toppings.  After eating, Lynn and Joyce went to Lynn's house and Tony and I went back to the church to meet with the Sister Missionaries and a young man who is investigating. HOWEVER, we got a text from them saying his fiancĂ© went to the hospital so he had to cancel. BUMMER! We left and went home to change clothes and then went to Lynn's. Tammy and the kids were there and we played some GOLF. At 8:30, we left to come home and we took Aunt Joyce home at that time too.

We got up at 7:30 this morning and picked up Johanna and we went to the temple to clean.

Tony and me and Johanna and Sheryl Bird volunteered to do the stairs. It involved vacuuming and mopping them, cleaning all the wooden banisters and cleaning all the metal rails and dusting in between each rail. There are three sets of stairs in the temple. One goes from the Baptistry in the basement up to a door (past the 3rd floor) that goes to the roof. I did the dusting and wiping down all the woodwork and metal rails on that one. Johanna did the vacuuming and mopping. Then I moved to stairwell #3 and Sheryl did stairway #2. It was a BIG JOB! I met up with Tony when I got to stairway #3. He had vacuumed and mopped two of the stairways. He helped me hit the high window sills that I couldn't reach. When we finished, I went and cleaned all the plastic mats that are under the chairs in the offices in the main office on the 1st floor. It was noon by the time we were all done and it is a special experience to clean the temple. The Bishop asked us all from the 4th ward if we wanted to go to lunch together. OF COURSE!
We went to Cafe Rio by the COSTCO in Meridian.

We ordered Salmon taco's. They were OK but not nearly as good as the fish taco's at the CUSTARD KING  in Astoria! We'll be getting those when we go to stay with Mom in October!! YAY!

After eating and having a GREAT visit with the others, we came back to Nampa and took Johanna home. Then, we came in the house and rested for a little over an hour. Those stairs were a real workout and we were both extremely tired. After a rest, we went out and did our lawn work. I mowed our yard and harvested another bunch of cukes and tomatoes from the garden. Tony finished Joyce's yard and then we went to JoAnn's and picked up 3 tubes of glue because it was the last day of 60% off. I had 5 coupons but once we went to check out, the clerk said they were already 35% off so I said I didn't want them and took them back. On our way out, Tony said there was NO SIGN by the glue that said they were already on sale so the manager said she would give us the 60% off. SO, we went back and I told Tony I would just buy 3 of them instead of 5. It was nice of her to give them to me so I could use my coupons so I didn't want to be greedy! lol  We then went to Lynn's and I mowed her lawn while Tony edged and cut back some bushes. We then came home, showered and crashed on the couch. Now, we need to read our scriptures and hit the sack. We are both beat!!
It was a GOOD DAY though !!
