Tony and I got to Mom's about 4 this afternoon. We ran into a couple of slowdowns before Portland and another after crossing the bridge into Washington. Then we stopped at Safeway and got rid of about 4 bags of bottles. We'll get rid of all of them before we leave town. When we got to Ricks, Will was babysitting kids while Charcie & Ben were at a church meeting for The Addiction Recovery program that they were called to be Missionaries for. Will helped us get our bags into mom's apartment. Mom was happy to see us. After we got settled, I made her dinner. It was a Marie Calender Chicken Pot Pie. She kept telling me how good it was and thanked me over & over. LOL, it was funny. Thank you Marie. Mom thinks I'm a good cook!
She said, "I need to walk" so she got up and walked to her bedroom door and then said "that's far enough" and she turned around and headed back to her chair.
She got out her knitting and got busy. She doesn't hear ANYTHING anymore, so we write notes to her. Rick has a HUGE ream of paper on the table and a bunch of markers. I can see I'll be improving on my communication this week and next! It's great to be with her. She is truly an ANGEL and I feel so blessed to be able to spend this precious time with her.
She has a huge bruise on her forehead. She fell but doesn't know exactly how she did it or when. Thank heaven it didn't happen on my watch!! lol I hope I can hold up my responsibilities while we are here. I SURE LOVE HER!~

That's good that she said she needs to walk and then did it. Enjoy your time with her!
