A SHORT OUTING...TWICE

Got up this morning to SUNSHINE!~
It's going to be a beautiful day!
A beautiful picture just outside mom's sliding glass door.
This is "YOUNG'S BAY."
When Mom got up, I helped her dress and got her breakfast. She's very quiet today but she finally had a BM. That was a
BIG DEAL to her. She was so happy! lol I stripped her bed and washed her sheets as well as a few whites. She was still in her chair before they dried and she fell asleep. She looked so uncomfortable.

I started to recline her and she woke up. I told her (on paper) that I wanted to make her more comfortable so she thanked me and went right back to sleep. In the meantime, I finished her laundry and made her bed. When she woke up, I told her that we were going to take a quick trip to the PETER IREDALE ship wreck. I fed her a snack of tuna and crackers and she said she would be fine. I told Charcie what we were doing, and as we left, Will came home for lunch and I told him too. Off we went!~

We got there expecting to see a lot more ship than we'd ever seen !! Unfortunately, we forgot about the tide!!  BUMMER!~

It was still beautiful and the waves were coming in hard and fast!

Good for surfing ....if we were into that! lol

I got a picture of Tony!

He took one of me!

And then a sweet lady said she would take one of us together!
That was sweet!  We then left and when we got to the car, we looked at the tide chart and decided we'd come back this evening at 6PM. Can't wait! We drove into town and got a fish taco each at
 THE CUSTARD KING.
Man, they are so good! After eating, we drove up to the cemetery to see Dad's grave. It is such a beautiful location!

Not sure who put the flowers on ( I assume Rick & Wendy took her there on a holiday) but they are still there.

Evidently, Ben & Charcie's new place is right across the river from the cemetery!  NICE!~

No one here to take a picture of us together, SO, Tony got me!

And, I got him!!

This is a new grave just behind dad's. The boy was only 19 and must have been a musician. Pretty cool and unique head stone!
(I showed it to Will later and he hadn't seen this, but he went to school with this boy!)

We left and headed back to Mom!
She was asleep on her bed when we got back. It wasn't too long and she got up again and started crocheting, BUT not before she thanked me for washing her sheets and making her bed. She is so AWESOME!! Love her so much!
At 5:30 I baked us a pizza for dinner. Mom loved it! I told her we were going to go back out to the wreck because the tide would be out. I said we'll have pie when we get back.

I am so glad we were able to see it when the tide was out! We have NEVER seen so much of the ship exposed! It was INCREDIBLE!

There were a lot of people there taking pictures!

It was a BIG ship for the day!! It had 4 masts and all four broke in half when it hit ground HARD! Amazingly, No one was killed!
The Bow is the only part we have ever seen in the past visits!

The sunset was gorgeous as well!

The stern is exposed now as well! Not sure why but Charcie has lived here most of her life and she said this is the 1st time they have seen this much as well!

I am so glad she told us to go see it!

It was a very lovely day in Astoria today. We got back and Mom was sitting in her chair knitting. She finished the baseball game and then about 8:30, she said she was tired and wanted to go to bed. So, I did her eyedrops and gave her her nightly pills and got her ready for bed. I hope she sleeps well tonight. She has been tired all day!
We did find out today that my nephew Eric did have a stroke. He still has use of his arms and legs but his speech is slow and will need speech therapy. We are just so grateful he is doing better.
GOD IS GOOD!~

Wow, that's pretty cool to see that much of the ship. Spooky and cool. We'll have to remember about the tides next time we get over there, whenever that is. Glad you were able to see it and to get out and explore a little. Beautiful sunset picture!
