BUSY DAY

I was asked to sub for a gal on the Wednesday AM shift (and she is working for me the 14th while we are in Astoria.  We got up at 5:15 because I didn't have to be there till 7am. That's what's nice about subbing. lol Tony came and did 2 endowments while I worked. I worked the 1st hour in Initiatory and the next in the Celestial room. My last post was  I was the 2nd sister officiator in his 2nd session and Tony was in that session. Then I was done so we both went down to Initiatory and Tony got 10 males done and I got 5 sisters. (The women are always busier than the men so he can always do more than me. Then we went up to Sealings and did 2 hours of that ordinance. We felt pretty good about what we accomplished today.  

When we got out, it was 2:30. A beautiful day! I beat Tony out to the car so took a picture of him as he was coming down the sidewalk.

We drove to Deseret Book and we bought the new Michael Vey book as well as President Oaks Biography. Have some exciting books to read in Astoria while we are with Mom.  They are putting out their Christmas things and they are selling the names of Christ ornaments again. I took a picture because I wanted to make sure they were not like the ones I already have. (UNFORTUNATELY, they are) So far they have had 2 styles. I wish they would come up with another design so I could buy another set for my "Jesus Tree" When we finished at the Book Store, we went back to Nampa and went to lunch at CHICK FIL A. You'd NEVER know  we like the place! lol

Hire that man!!  lol  After eating, we went to COSTCO and got a few items that we need that were in the sale pamphlet. Then we headed over to Winco and got milk and eggs. THEN, we went to wash the car and vacuum it out. Finally, we headed for home. Can't believe we cleaned out the car in our church clothes. lol 

I looked at my Michael Vey books and discovered I don't have volume 8!!  How I missed that I DON'T KNOW!!  so, Tony said I can get it with my next 20% off coupon. YAY!~ I was going to bring it to Astoria and read it while at Mom's but I want to read them in order so I'll wait till I get eight! 

It was now after 5 PM so we changed our clothes and went out to pull up the flowers in the garden. I hated to do it because they are still so pretty BUT I needed to get them out before they all went to seed.  Some already have!!

There were a ton and to think I didn't plant a single one this year. They all came up from last year because we didn't get them out till spring. I was sick and it didn't get done. 

It looks clean but there were still a ton of seeds that fell back in the dirt as we tried to beat the dirt off the roots. We'll have to pick out plants as they start next spring and get them where we want them and not EVERYWHERE lie they did this year. (AND, I still picked out a bunch this spring but there was just so many)

We decided to leave the tomato, cucumber and basil in till we get back from Astoria. 

As it was, we filled the garbage can and had to go over to Joyce's and get hers. She is out of town and won't mind!

We filled both of them!!  That's a lot of Marigolds!!

I did get four cucumbers and a tomato. There are still green tomatoes on both plants and some very small cukes. We'll see if they are still OK when we get back from Astoria. 

After we finished, Tony raked over the garden a bit and I took one garbage can out front. Tomorrow is trash day as well as recycle. He took Joyce's across the street when he finished raking. I went inside and gathered up all the garbage in the house and took it out to the trash.  We came in and showered and started calling for a Temple Sub for Blakes wedding. I called nine women and still don't have a yes YET! Tony got his. I'm hoping the last one I talked to will be able to. She said her husband was out of town and she would check with him when he gets home. Man, I hope she can! It's Thanksgiving weekend so many of them don't want to.
