CELEBRATING NEW YEARS DAY!~

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2024

We slept in this morning. There were a lot of fireworks going on last night. I fell asleep pretty easy but Tony said he had a hard time.  None the less, we slept in. When we got up, I fried us a couple of eggs and had a piece of toast to go with it. Then I got out my new crock pot and made a shredded chicken gravy in it. It was supposed to cook for 4 to 5 hours. We invited Lynn and Joyce to come over and eat and play games at 3 or 4. Then, I got busy and started going through my kitchen cupboards and drawers. I boxed up a bunch of dishes I don't use as well as a dish towels and put them in the garage.
I Got my shells displayed that Debbie gave me. She and Alivia took a trip to San Marco Island in Florida to look for shells. This is the 2nd trip they have gone on to look for that purpose. Deb gave me, Diane & Lynn some pretty cool shells. Then Alivia started planning a trip to Florida for next year and Tony and me are going o go with them. Just the four of us and I'm pretty excited.  Once I got them in the shell dish with some other's I already had, I started boiling potatoes.  I got them mashed and set the table.
Tony and I started our diet this morning so all I served was the shredded chicken gravy over the mashed potatoes. It was pretty good. I had cookies baked before we went to Utah so Tony got out the ice-cream and the women and Tony had cookies and ice-cream. I ate one cookie but no ice-cream. They also had some caramels that Jan Poulsen had made.  (Happy to get rid of the temptation!)

Then we got out the cards and played GOLF. I was doing pretty good at the 1st but then had a bad streak!  Tony ended up taking 1st place, Joyce came in 2nd, me third and Lynn last! Then we played Mexican Train. I came in 1st on that one, Tony 2nd, Joyce third and Lynn last again. It's always fun!

The ladies left at 8:30.  I had Tony take a picture of me so I can document my progress the first of each month.  Yeah, I've got a ways to go but hopefully, I can keep it together this year.

I'm tired of being FAT!!~
I need a new hair do this year too!  A new make over would help this old gal a lot!! lol

I made myself a notebook to track my progress. I'll take a picture the 1st of each month and see if I can see a difference. I'd like to lose about 60 pounds! We'll see what I can do.

I just caught up on all of your blogs. I usually read about 4 posts at a time and don't have time to comment on everything. I'm so glad you were able to go to Ellie's wedding. I wish we could have been there. If it had been in Meridian or Boise, I would have tried going. But we'll try for the reception, as long as the weather cooperates.

Good luck on your weight loss goal this year! I know you can do it if you stay focused. We're doing a biggest loser diet that we started in November. It's been really hard to be good over the holidays but I am down 5 pounds since we started. It goes up and down. And I'm at a weight I haven't been at since before getting pregnant with Charlotte! I just downloaded an exercise app on my phone this morning and started exercising because I saw Curtis doing the same thing last week. I know exercising will help curb my appetite for unhealthy foods.

Oh, and those snow globes are beautiful!
