We got up bright and early this morning for our Temple shift. I am feeling better than I did yesterday so I was glad of that.
It was dark and cold (but warmer than it has been) when we arrived at 5:30 in the morning. Still a lot of snow up front! We had a great shift. We were at the veil together and in Sealings together as well. SO, we were able to get 8 sons and 4 daughters sealed to their parents while we worked. After our shift, we both stayed to do some initiatory. We also had a baptism to go to at 12:30 so we should have been out of their by 11:30 or 11:45 at the latest. I waited and waited but still wasn't in by 11:30. SO, I told them that I'd have to come back. They apologized but I just couldn't stay any longer. I thought Tony would be waiting in the car for me. I got dressed and headed out to the car. It was raining. I sat and waited for Tony till 10 after 12!! I guess I should have stayed to do the initiatory. Tony said he got in at 11:15 but they were so slow!! I should have tried. lol When he finally got out to the car, we didn't have much time to make it to the Baptism.
We took off and headed to the Nampa Birch Building. Wouldn't you know it!! We must have hit
EVERY RED LIGHT ALONG THE WAY!!
We finally arrive 4 minutes late. We saw Bishop Parish going in just as we got there so Tony said we should be OK. Then Jenni came out and said she forgot the programs on her table and her son was bringing them so she told the Bishop to stall a bit. lol
Her son finally got there with the programs and I helped her hand them out. It was a good turnout!! I was so happy to see so many show up for Sophie's big day!
I got a couple of pictures of her and me when the baptism was over.
She's such a sweet young lady. She is going to go to the YSA after a few more weeks in our ward. I'm so happy for her. I think she is going to do great!
Once we got home, I made us a salad and a pizza. We ate and then Kevin and Lori Slover came over so Tony could teach him how to use the portal. They have a few trips coming up and need to find a sub. They were here for an hour and a half. Once they left, Tony worked on family names for our session this coming Thursday. I used my new sweater dies and cut out some sweaters.
IT'S BEEN A GOOD DAY!~

I'm glad you are feeling better and were able to get to the temple for your shift and then the baptism! That blanket she's holding looks just like the one we gave Charlotte for her baptism. Those sweaters could be used for winter cards or even Valentine's since the red ones have hearts on them.
