Today was our Stake SILVER SWEETHEARTS luncheon. I told Joyce & Lynn, I would take them. Neither one of them was able to go last month so they were excited to be able to go again. I'm not sure which ward was in charge this time, but it was on GRATITUDE. Brother & Sister Johns were asked to take a few minutes and talk to us about the subject.
She was 1st and she expressed how grateful she is to live in a free country and be able to associate in things like what we were doing today. She said how thankful she was to have a roof over her head, food to eat, etc and expressed her gratitude for things we take for granted. Brother John's talked about the temple mostly. He told us a really neat experience that happened to him in the temple and it was very moving. They are a neat couple. He was (maybe still is) out Patriarch.
There were 10 of us at our table. As sisters came in, we made room for them. Sister Donna Jenkins and her daughter in law, Judy were there. Elizabeth Dickerson, Shelly Hughes, Lynn and Joyce, me, Diana Brown, Luva Francis and Joyce Glaettli.
It was a short luncheon. Started at 11 and was over before noon. They served Quiche and salad and a cupcake. Short, Sweet and we were done. They had made small journals for us to write down things that each of us was grateful for.
When we finished, I took the ladies home and then Tony and I picked them up again to go to the gym to walk. Tony did his four miles, I did two, Joyce did one and Lynn rode a bike for a while. I also did the elliptical and Joyce rode a bit with Lynn. When Tony finished his 4, we went to Walmart. I got some yarn and eyebrow pencils, Tony looked for a new squeegee for our shower, Lynn bought some compression socks, eyebrow gel and lipstick. Tony told me to take them to the car while he used the restroom.
I entertained then with SNAPCHAT while we waited for Tony! lol They make cute little kitty cats! lol
We got the ladies home, I made a frozen pizza for our dinner and then Tony went to his Elder's Quorum meeting. I'm reading my book and blogging while he's gone. I also called three sisters to check on them and see how they were doing.
I baked cookies while Tony was gone so we could have cookies and milk while we watched THE VOICE. It's been a fun day.
