We woke up today to A LOT OF SNOW!~
And it was still coming down!!
March definitely is coming in like a LION!
We dressed and headed to pick up Lynn to go to the gym. I had my annual dr. appointment at 9:30 and Lynn said she'd go with us to that and then exercise at the gym.
I have to admit, trees are so pretty covered in snow.
It really is beautiful!
We got to Lynn's and her yard looked exceptionally covered. It's the bushes and rocks I think.
Tony came in with me to see my doctor. She is retiring, and Tony's doctor is moving to St. Al's and he won't be covered under our insurance anymore. SO, for the past few days, Tony has been on the phone trying to get us new doctors. FINALLY, this morning, he did! All three of us will be meeting with a Dr. Lawrence in August.
I got my last physical from Dr. Hirning. Found out my cholesterol is high so guess I'd better get working on that. After my appointment, we went to the gym. It was just a walk day so that's what we did. I walked my 2 miles and then hit the elliptical and got in my 5 miles on that. I walked down to the locker and took another picture .
It was quite a dismal day. The snow had pretty much turned to sleet but it is still coming down. We went home and we changed. Then Tony and I ran to Costco and picked up a few things that had just come on sale. Then we went home and I waited for Jenni to picked me up. We had to go to Meridian to pick up a food order. It was a month's worth of food so she needed help.
Lately they have been short on help so we had to do the shopping BUT it was a piece of cake. One worker pushed the cart, she read what was on the order and I was in front of her. and the cart. The store is organized so well. We would walk down one isle and she would tell me how many of the items that were listed. This was the meat freezer and a young man who worked there would take the cold things out of the freezer.
I'd pull the items off the shelf, fill a bag, tie it up and move on.
Another cooler held fresh vegetables.
It is really impressive how the church works and helps
families in need. We loaded the trunk and back seat of Jenni's car and headed back to Nampa. I called Tony and asked him if he would meet us at the home to help us unload. He did. The gal was at the doctor's office with her son and she left her house open. We got things unloaded and came home. Had to get ready to go to Relief Society at 7 and I was picking up Joyce and Lynn.
I had to bring a "Healthy Snack" so I brought cottage cheese and mandarin oranges.
The evening was about "SPRING CLEANING". They asked 4 ladies ahead of time to be on a panel. Lynn, Joyce, Joyce Glaettli and Elizabeth Dickerson. They asked each one about a favorite cleaning item they used frequently.
Their was a demonstration on how to make your own dish detergent.
We talked about how to downsize and spring clean.
They had the tables decorated cute with rolls of toilet paper and baby's breath, facial cleaners, Brillow pads etc. It was a fun idea.
We got motivated and I was ready to do some more downsizing this week. It made for a long day with all the other thing we did, and I was tired when I got home around 8:30.
