BAKING & BAKING & BOOKCLUB!~

Tony and I went to the gym this morning and Pat sent me a text and told me to let her know when I got there so she could meet me at my locker. I had her gift and she brought me one. She is just so sweet! She gave me 2 Bath & Body foam soaps in Peppermint scent.  Then she and I walked 4 miles together so I didn't have time to do my weights! lol WOW!! I'm feeling it tonight. I'm used to 2 or 3 but today I did 4!! Proud of myself!! We left around 11 and I came home and got busy with my goodies!!

I made more roasted candied pecans and bagged some and will make more goodie gifts as well as have some to eat on Christmas.

I made some Christmas cookies. They have white chocolate chips, chocolate chips, and candy cane crumbles. I didn't have quite the amount of those that I needed but it was still enough. I was running out of time and I still needed to get the candy (below) put in the paper cups before picking up the ladies for book club. So I didn't bake them yet!

These are more of a candy but it's a no bake type goodie. Klynn Miller had made us some and so I asked her for the recipe. It's rice krispies, peanuts and marshmallows with white chocolate bark and peanut butter melted and poured over top and mixed. So good when it sets up. I picked up Joyce, Lynn and Katherine Greenwood and took them to Klynns for the Book club. I'm glad Klynn has asked me to start driving the ladies cuz I really do enjoy it.  We discussed a favorite Christmas story this month. Each lady shared  a story. We had treats and then I took the ladies home. I came home and was going to start baking cookies BUT I got a call from Shantel Bugby asking if we were home. I told her we were and she said they wanted to come caroling to us. HECK YES!!

Tom & Shantel and her sister and her husband and their 3 children came. This is the 2nd time they have come. They would have last year but we were out of town with my mom. The year before that, I was sick and it really touched me that they came.

I made a BIG RED plate of goodies, (chocolate covered cashews and the marshmallows candies) and after they sang I held out the plate and they all took one. Then we visited and I offered more goodies and they cleaned up the plate!! I was so happy!  That's why I'm making it all! lol It was a good day!! Tomorrow, we will go to the gym and just walk. Then we take Lynn to the airport. She's headed to Salt Lake and then to San Diego to have Christmas with Deb and family.  I'll finish baking the cookies tomorrow when we get home. Then it's early to bed and up at 4am Saturday.
