IT'S BEEN A BUSY FEW DAYS

We started off the week back at the gym.  Had a good walk with Pat, talking and catching up.  We came home and I cleaned house, washed clothes and mowed the yard and picked produce from the garden. I had got a call from Robin on the way home from the gym. She was quite upset. She told me that her younger sister had died. She went to bed Sunday night and when her husband tried to wake her in the morning, she was gone. so sad!!  After my work was complete, I went over to spend and hour with her. She had spent quite a bit of time with her brother in law and family. It was so sad.

Tuesday, We went to the temple with Lynn. Joyce is still out of town and won't be back till the 27th so it was just the 3 of us. We each did 2 endowments and then we went to lunch at Chick Fil A!!!
Surprised??  Yeah, I didn't think so! lol
Wednesday we went to the gym and then came home to have lunch with the Elder's and Liz. I made a soup and Liz brought over cornbread muffins. Ends up the Elder's were sick I guess a lot of Elders were getting sick and they think it's Covid. SO, we ate with Liz and then did a video conference with them.  I then went on some Relief Society visits with Shelly Hughes a Tony and a number of brethren,  went to help Kevin Poulsen, move a huge truck load of soil. He's redoing all the flower beds for his son's wedding which will take place soon.  Once he got home, we were both tired and went to bed. Thursday, we got up, went to the gym, came hoe, ate a quick bite and headed to the orchard.

The orchard is so peaceful and it was pretty cool and comfortable.

Tony and I were the only ones there picking. We finished our Ward's row, which was almost done. Tony had to pick the tops (on a ladder) and when we finished our wards row, we moved onto another wards row. We filled this bin and then moved on to another.

Then we filled this one !

So glad we have the peach bags that we got from Bob Haverfield.

After filling the two bins, we were tired and my back was beginning to bother me. We still wanted to go up to the Elberta peaches and get some for ourselves.
So I talked Tony into quitting after we finished the 2 bins.

Then we went up the hill to another orchard  (well technically, the same orchard) but in a different spot. We picked several boxes that we brought with us and then came home.  We have been sharing peaches with Patrick, Lynn, Joyce, Patricia and Scott so far. They are not quite ripe yet so I have several on the cupboard in my kitchen ripening up. Can't wait for a nice bowl of peaches & cream.
Thursday night, I hosted book club. Only 7  of us were there and we discussed "MARILLA". It was based on Marilla from Anne of Green Gables, before Anne came to live with them on Prince Edward Island in Canada. SO, I made a Canadian dessert to share with the ladies. I got our Mom's recipe for Puffed Wheat squares and made a 9X13" pan. They all liked them. I had enough left over to give one to Pat at the gym this morning and then I ate the last one for breakfast with a tall glass of cold milk. Mmmmmm good!! We went to Costco after the gym to get TOM's  toothpaste e. It was on sale. Then we came home and we are relaxing today. We are both tired. Lynn  did call Tony and asked him if he would haul off a bunch of brush and bushes from her yard. She had a man come in and cut back a bunch of her foliage and take out some bushes. Tony told her to have him put in on her driveway in front of the garage door she doesn't use and he will get rid of it next week. He deserves a break. He works so hard

I decided to put together some card embellishments together today while relaxing. I've got so many cutouts and need to start doing something with them so here's what I've done so far. We started watching a series on PRIME called EVERWOOD. Carol at the gym told me about it and it is so good!! Tony got asked TODAY, if he would speak on Sunday in Sacrament meeting. He is busy preparing and Scott came over to get his things that we brought home from Astoria for him. Alivia sent me a text and evidently, her and Cory are staying at Lynn's tonight as they are heading home from their vacation in northern Idaho. Unfortunately, we will not see them this time as we will be going to bed at 7 and Tony is preparing for Sunday.
