I should be taking down my Christmas but I have seriously
NO ENERGY to do it. Hence, I'm still enjoying my tree and all the Nativities etc. Nothing wrong with that but I do need to get it taken down eventually.
My Amaryllis is starting to open. It's gotten so tall (at least one stem has) and it opens a little every day. I'm enjoying watching it bloom. Tony and I have been pretty sedentary since Christmas. Seriously, not a lot getting done here at home.
Tony has been able to complete 2 puzzles while we've been down. He just finished this one a couple of days ago. It's pretty cool and it was somewhat difficult (which he loves) I have been crocheting. Trying to get a baby afghan done for Kaitlyn and Patricks new baby. She'll be here in a few weeks. I did manage to go to the temple on Saturday but probably should have stayed home. I managed to make it through the day only to get hit with diarrhea at the close of the shift (thank heaven it hit then and not earlier) None the less, I had to come home and shower and do laundry. Rested the remainder of the day. We chose to stay home on Sunday from church and watched Tamara's ward on Zoom as little Tony received the Priesthood and is now a Deacon. The Sister Missionaries text me and asked if they could give a "New Member" lesson to Liz at my house Sunday at 5. I agreed. I managed to make some scones to have as a dessert when we finished but all 3 were fasting so I bagged the scones up and sent them home with the girls and Liz.
It was so nice to have some company and we enjoyed the visit.
Both are such sweet young ladies. One from Tonga and one from Rigby Idaho. liz is doing so well and progressing in her knowledge of the gospel. We have another baptismal activity planned for the end of this month. Liz will be there with us. She brought over a Christmas gift for Tony and me. She gave him a puzzle and it looks difficult. He'll thoroughly enjoy doing it. she is a rock hound and so she made me this necklace and gave me this polished rock heart.
They are so beautiful. She has interesting hobbies. She's a gun fanatic as well and loves to go shooting. She belongs to a gun club as well as the rock club.
Tony and I are both leading the discussion this coming Sunday in Relief Society and Priesthood classes. We have been working on them. I still don't feel prepared but Tony has no problem leading discussions. I'm not that confident. But, getting there.
In my preparation, I came across this quote by our new Prophet, President Oaks. I love it! Well, now to do some more reading and studying, while I rest. I need to go to the library and look for a book that we are reading for book club. I won't get it done if I don't get there and check it out. Hope they have one.
