MEMORIAL WEEKEND CONTINUED!~

I had too many pictures from my Memorial Day weekend so I had to do a continuation post, so here goes!! I got a family picture of Derek & Rachel and kids after the "BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION" for Sarah. Then we headed out to see Jess & Diane. I had hoped to see my sister Lorie but we were not able to make contact with one another.
We went to see Jess & Diane after visiting with the kids. We had the best time and we laughed so hard my jaws hurt!! SERIOUSLY!!  It's always great fun to be with them!! At 10PM we decided it was time to head back to Layton and hit the hay!
Monday morning we got up and ate breakfast and then we loaded up (Tony & myself and Heather & Rowan) and headed for the new mall in S.L.C.
The new City Creek Mall was quite IMPRESSIVE and SPENDY!!
It had a lot of different fountains ....
All different and beautiful!
This was looking down from the 2nd level on a fountain in a gathering area.
The creek runs throughout the Mall and this particular area had fish. Rowan loved climbing on the rocks and watching the fish. One jumped out of the water as he was watching them and nearly scared the pants off him! We got a chuckle out of that!
There was a FANTASTIC dinosaur play area in the food court and Rowan was in heaven!
What a cute little hatch ling!
Rowan kept trying to wake this dinosaur up! He would try and lift his eyelids while saying "wake up, wake up"!
He finally gave up and got on the neck! It was too cute! In order to get Rowan to leave the Dinosaur play area we told him we were going to ride the train. (the Trax)   We went to the waiting area for the Trax and we waited and waited and waited!! Finally, Tony went to an information place and we found out the Trax didn't run on that particular holiday!  STRIKE ONE!  Heather immediately told Rowan that the train was broken and did he want some pizza? He said yes and we needed to get gas so we said we would go to COSTCO and have lunch!  Guess what?  COSTCO was closed too! STRIKE TWO!  However, Rowan didn't throw a big fit. He fell asleep on the way back to Layton and we stopped at Cafe Rio and he got a quesadilla  and was perfectly happy!  We dropped the kids off at home and Tony and I headed for home ourselves. It was a great weekend!
On the way home we got a call from Mom Norton telling us they were having a BBQ at 6PM and we were invited! Tony said we wouldn't make it on time but when we arrived at a little after 7PM, they had just started eating so ......
we timed that just right!  lol
One last hurrah to wish Stillman and Michele a goodbye! It was a fantastic busy Memorial Day WEEKEND and lets not forget about all those who served our GREAT COUNTRY so we can have the blessed freedoms we do!  Thank you Dad!  WE LOVE YOU!  Thanks to Chris & Princess too!  Love you all!
