So far this weekend ..... Tony and I were invited to two Halloween Parties this weekend! Traci was hosting her Annual Doctor/Nurse's party out at Ann's Arena. She invited Tony and me to come and then the Hunts in our ward were holding one as well. I didn't want to go to both and I feel a little awkward around all the Doctors etc so we opted to go to the Hunts and support the Ward!! I made an artichoke dip and it had just come out of the oven! Smelled soooooo good! I grabbed the chips to go with it and put it in my handy dandy insulated carrying case I got from Scott & Jill. Tony and I didn't want to dress up too extreme so we just donned our BSU apparel and away we went!! We were the 1st ones to show up and the 1st ones to leave ....... the party was Saturday night instead of Friday!! I FELT SO STUPID!!! The Hunts are an awesome family and they invited us in and we all shared the artichoke dip and chips, had a good laugh (at my stupidity) and then Tony and I came home and relaxed watching IronMan 3. (We'd never seen it yet) We laughed when we got home and said we were sure glad we didn't paint up our faces blue & orange like we initially planned!!
I got up this morning and immediately started on the apples we got from the orchard. I peeled them all and made a big batch of apple pie filling. Then I made pie dough and 5 pies!! |
