This past Saturday, Tony had to work overtime ...AGAIN!!~ He is on a time constraint at the current job he is working on so has been having to work 7 days a week, 10 hour days!
I know he is tired and ready for a break ......
However, we have been needing to get our yard cleaned up before it snows. I was planning on working on it November 19th but Heather came to visit and we had better things to do .... so it simply collected more leaves! Then Thanksgiving weekend, we had family activities to attend to ..... so the leaves continued to fall and accumulate!!
I told Tony, I would clean the yard on Saturday, since he had to work .....
Man, I don't think I realized what I was getting into till I walked outside and saw this!!
A BLANKET OF LEAVES 2 INCHES THICK!!
I got started at 9AM and seriously wanted to cry at times.

| Finally by 1:30 in the afternoon, I had it manageable and I was able to get the mower out and I finished all the stragglers with the mower!! I thought I would ask Tony to take me to dinner since we both had a hard day ....It wasn't to be! His boss took the crew out to "WINGERS" after the day was over with so Tony didn't get home till 6PM.... I made myself a grilled cheese and he promised to take me out sometime this week! Anyway, the yard looks better and it is satisfying to see the results of a hard days work! |
