Phil's birthday was a week ago and I told him we would go into Boise and take him to lunch. He thought that was a GREAT IDEA but then the "STORM of the CENTURY" hit and we didn't go anywhere! Finally, by Friday I was able to get myself to work (Tony had been taking me because the EDGE has all wheel drive and it was the only way we could get around without getting stuck!) So Friday night we had our Date Night and Saturday we made arrangements to go to Boise and celebrate with Phil.
Tony's parents wanted us to go to the Temple and so I suggested they come with us to lunch and then they would be able to celebrate with Phillip too! We picked him up from RC Wiley and went to FREDDY'S for a hamburger. I got a picture of them but the dang light in the back makes it too dark!

It was nice to spend an good hour with Phil and to catch up on his life. We don't see him enough. He has 3 children now. They just adopted a little boy (2 monts old now) Wish we could meet the kids but that's not in the cards right now..... Maybe someday!
After saying Goodbye, to Phil, the four of us went to the "Boise Temple" and did a session. I saw Beck and Andy Movius and Inger Bishop. All former members of the 23rd Ward we use to be in when I lived on Netherland Drive. It was so good to see them and catch up a bit. It was a
GREAT DAY ENTIRELY!! |
