YARD WORK'S A TOUGH JOB!~

Now that the big willow tree is down, it's time to start working on some new landscaping for the yard. Our lilac bush froze 2 years back so we found a "Lilac Tree" at Greenhurst Nursery and  we put it in Saturday!

And I think I'm going to love it!  We'll have to trim it down after every season's blooms but it will be beautiful and the smell will be scrumptious!!

Then we started on the backyard tree.  The willow was too close to the house because of the extension we put on our home.  We are putting this tree 20 feet from the house!
It was so hot that day!~

Tony had to put up a canopy as he dug the hole and the roots from the willow were thick and HUGE!  It was a hard job!! Tony had to get out his Axe to cut them out and I hauled them away.

The poor guy was so tired and he is actually just leaning on his shovel to steady himself as he stands up but I told him it looked like he was praying the job was over! lol

It was an all day job! We started at 7:30 in the morning and finished up at 6PM. Once it got so hot, we took short breaks under the gazebo and drank lots of water and his parents were kind enough to bring us a hamburger for lunch.
The tree is in now but it's so small, its hard to see! I hope it doesn't take too long to grow to a decent size! We now have to call the curbing guys in to make the area bigger and then I'll plant some more flowers etc!~ 

It looks decent in this picture until you realize that our tree is the green at the top and the red is the neighbor's tree.  lol  Oh well,  it will grow and it will be a clean tree! We cleaned the patio up last night and it looks so much better since we got rid of the messy willow!
AND IT SHOULD STAY THAT WAY!!~

I'm pretty excited about my lilies!  They are just starting to bloom!

It started with ONE yellow one and then this morning I went out to ....whala!! I LOVE THEM!!~

Remember me mentioning how hot it was ....  Well, my dear husband got heat exhaustion and was sick that night. He came in like I said around six, took a cool shower and sat down on the couch to relax a bit and watch some TV before bed. He ate a bowl of ice-cream and not long after made a mad dash for the rest room! He ended up losing his lunch and everything else! He loves ice-cream and was sick about losing that!! lol  I got up at 10PM and went to Fred Meyer's and bought him some Gatorade. He couldn't keep it down until 1AM in the morning and he finally finished it at 5AM. He was feeling fine Sunday morning when we got up!~
