THANKSGIVING 2017

We started off the morning by going to watch Traci and Sophia and Isabel race in the\
 "STRUTTIN FOR STUFFIN"
race here in Nampa. After it was over, they went home to clean up and get ready to come to our place for dinner!

After the race, I went home to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner! This was the 1st year since Tony and I have been married, that just my family (those that live here) were at my house. All the Norton's had plans with their spouses family and Art and Lynn flew to Utah to spend it with family there.  We had just 11 of us as, Claire and Mostyn didn't come and Caden had to work so he came later in the afternoon.

5 kids!  That's a small group for what we normally have. It was so nice to be able to seat everyone and honestly, it was so peaceful and quiet! lol

The adults at the kitchen table !  YUMMY food on the island behind us. I told them I had to have a picture before we dug in! They all cooperated nicely! lol

After dinner, Tony helped me clean up dishes and put food away. The 3 youngest kids went to the backroom and watched "Napoleon Dynamite" and they also set up a race car set that Hawkins brought from home. The guys ended up back there with them to watch the show as well. Traci and the girls baked GINGERBREAD and cut out houses.

When they had it all ready, the kids gathered round the table and decorated their homes. It was fun to watch their creativeness .

We were laughing because Traci and the girls said the 1st two or three homes looked like the 3rd world homes they saw in Honduras. They said the last two were more like "Hubble Homes"..   lol

Scotlyn, hard at it!!

And here we have the finished results!!

Pretty impressive!  It was a lovely day! I am so thankful for FAMILY!~
