Tony's Birthday and Retirement PARTY!!~

I'm way behind on my blogging! So much has happened the past 3 months and we have been so busy that I have neglected my BLOG! So I'm playing catch up....Bear with me! My sweet hubby had his birthday on June 28th. We had just celebrated our 14th Anniversary on the 26th when his company took us out to dinner at Thailand Express for his retirement gift. It was very appropriate that it was on our Anniversary so we got a free dinner! (AND a very delicious one too)   On his birthday, we went to TEXAS ROADHOUSE for dinner with his parents and his sister Diane, who was in town helping Mom with Dad!

Dad had managed to sneak out of the house earlier and had fallen a short distance from the house. That is why he is so banged up!  That is when we installed key pad doors. Had to be able to keep him contained. Poor Dear!

I made Tony get on the saddle and have the waiters sing Happy Birthday to him! He was a good sport and complied!

Diane got a kick out of the evening! It's so fun to be with Tony's twin sisters. They are both such sweethearts!

On Saturday, the 30th, I threw a RETIREMENT PARTY for Tony. I held it at WEST PARK! I had invited a little over 100 people and I had a little over 60 show up! It was successful in my estimation! This is Shawn and Suzzette Jarrett. They are our neighbors who live across the street. We get together with them and the Suggs (who were out of town at the time of the party) to play games and have dinner!

GOOD PEOPLE!

I had a lot of members of the Ward come. Not everyone showed up on time, so as some ate and left, others showed up! Tony got a lot of WELL WISHES and he thoroughly enjoyed himself!

I served Pulled Pork Sandwiches, chips of all kinds, drinks, salads and a BIG CAKE from COSTCO whis I failed to get a picture of! I was so mad at myself!  Tony's girls, his mother, his Aunt Joyce and Diane and Cori Norton all helped by each bringing a salad. Thanks so much to them!

Phillip, Tony's youngest son, even came out on his lunch break from RC WILLEY. It was good to have him there!

My cousin Tom and his wife Julie came a little late but we were so happy they made it. It was so funny. They said they would be there and as the evening rolled on and they still hadn't showed, I decided to call them. I asked if they were coming and Julie said "What day is it?"  I said it's today. And she said  "I thought it was on Saturday" to which I replied "It is, today is Saturday!"  She literally screamed "I thought today was Friday!"  lol  It was so funny! They hurried right over.
BLESS THEIR HEARTS!

And to end the party, as we were cleaning up I got this adorable picture of Alice and Garrett. It was a great party and Tony was so happy so many family and friends came to wish him a
 HAPPY RETIREMENT!
