I VAN DO HARD THINGS !!~

We woke up this morning and found it had rained overnight. We are grateful for the moisture. I'm concerned about getting our garden cleaned out but maybe it will dry up next week. With Tony's help, I made German pancakes for breakfast. We were getting tired of cold cereal. So, I had Tony crack the eggs into the blender for me and I added the milk, flour and vanilla and I blended it up. I had him get the dish out for me and I got the butter melted while he sliced up an apple for it. After laying the sliced apples in the melted butter, I poured the batter over the apples and then Tony put the dish in the oven. It tasted so good when it was done. After eating, Tony brought my laptop down and I finished last weeks question in my book. Around noon or so, Tony needed to go to the bank. He wanted me to go with him, so I did. It was snowing hard. After leaving the bank, we drove to Costco, to pick  up some cream. I got some rolls and we also got some salad mix.
On the way home, we got stuck at the train tracks !!

Not just one train .....but TWO. One going West and one going East. We sat there for quite some time. Lynn called Tony and said someone turned her drivers license in at the Rec ctr. She asked if we'd go by and pick it up. Tony said we would and we could walk!! I declined. My shoulders ache trying to hold up this left arm with the brace on it and besides...I look a mess!  My hair is a disaster, my eye is still black and quite honestly, the cold is wiping me out too.

So he dropped me off at home. Before I broke my wrists, we bought a bunch of Granny Smiths so I could make more caramel apples! Well, I'm afraid they are gonna go bad so I made the caramel. It was hard to stir continuously    till it reached the consistency I needed. But I managed!! Tony was supposed to help me with the rest but he still wasn't home!!

I had to pull the stem out of the apples. I just couldn't do it till I got out the needle nosed plyers. Then, trying to push the sticks in was a  problem!!  I had to use my cast as leverage to push!!  Dipping was the hardest but I managed!! I was pretty proud of myself!
