I didn't sleep very well last night
SO I WAS THE ONE ON THE COUCH!
Just as we were going to bed, (around 10PM) Donna called me. She said Jack was having a lot of pain in his back and thought he was passing a kidney stone! I answered her questions and then told her she needed to take him to the hospital. Then I worried about them all night! I ended up coming downstairs and reading till 1:30. I got up this morning and called Donna at 8:30. They ended up getting home early this morning. Jack passed one but he has 2 more. I know what that's all about! Just glad he's feeling better now! Tony went to the gym and I decided to walk to JoAnn's to look for lace.
It was cold!! Sunny BUT WINDY !! I walked to JoAnn's and was disappointed in the lace!! Well, disappointed isn't the right word. It was beautiful but the lace on the spool was $10 bucks a yard and NOT WIDE enough and the lace by the yard was $49 bucks a yard!! AND, none of them matched very well. So, I walked to ROSS and checked out their dresses. I found a couple of white lacey summer dresses and thought I could cut the top off and make a slip towear under my white dress BUT I just didn't like that the lace didn't match!! So I walked home and Tony was already there. He got home just a couple of minutes before me.
GOOD TIMING!~
I told him what I'd found out and then told him what I wanted to do. I said I wanted to go back to BURLINGTON to see if they had another dress like the one I already bought. If I could, I would cut it in half and make a slip out of it to wear under the dress. Then it would have identical lace and it would still be cheaper than buying lace from JoAnn's! AND, it's still cheaper than buying a new lacy dress on line or at Deseret Book Store. IF they didn't have the same dress, I would return the one I'd bought. So we rested a bit while we ate a little breakfast and watched an episode of the CLOSER. Then we drove to Burlington. LUCKILY, they had the identical dress except with sleeves! EVEN better!! I'll use it as the main dress and use the other for the slip. AND, the two dresses together cost $40 bucks! That's less than one yard of lace at JoAnns. I felt pretty good about it and Tony did too!
NOW, I have a project to work on and hope I can make it look good! We came home and after the walk and all the fresh air, I was beat!! We rested again and then took showers and got ready to to COSTCO to find Mom a Birthday gift and pick up my prescription. We found a really beautiful Hydrangea for her. It was in the back of the car and as soon as Tony took a turn, it tipped over.
We pulled over and strapped it in! We came home and I did three loads of laundry and warmed up some lunch for us. We are just chilling now and will be getting ready for bed soon. Going to the Temple tomorrow to do a session with Lynn and Joyce and Deb and Alivia. (They should be here around midnight) Tomorrow's is Mom Norton's birthday so we will be partying afterwards!
IT WILL BE A GOOD DAY!~
