I LOVE SPRING, IT GIVES ME HOPE!~

Tony and I were on the way to the rec center this morning and  we got to the 4 way stop at Midland and Iowa. There was a jeep on the left and people were going around her. OBVIOUSLY, she was in trouble. We got around her as we turned off Midland and headed down Iowa. I told Tony, we need to turn around and help her. He said "OK"  and we made a U-turn. We parked on the side of the road and ran over to her car. We pushed her across Midland and to the side of the road. She thanked us profusely and said her sister lived down the street and was on her way.

It felt good to be able to help someone in need. I told Tony, if it had been me (and it has been in the past) I would want someone to stop and help me. I was so glad we did! We got to the gym and Tony went inside to walk and do weights. I decided to walk the track outdoors because the temp was perfect. It was overcast but it was great!

When we got home, I made us some scrambled eggs for breakfast and then I went out to put more pottage on my plants. I had to admire my daffodils AGAIN!

My Viburnum is leafing out and there are a ton of little buds!
It's gonna smell SOOO good!!

The ELEPHANT EARS are finally coming up as well!
SPRINGIS FINALLY HERE!!  Yay!

I finally got down to pounding holes with my hammer and metal rod and dumping the potage in the flower pots! This is a Peony that only got one bud last year and it NEVER opened up so we'll see how good this potage mix is!

I did the same in my Lilies in the back yard. They always open  but they all deserve a little help!

This is another Peony in the back yard. It struggles every year!! This is it's 4th year and so far all it has ever done is leaf out and die!  We'll see what happens this year!!

The white lilies in the  ground seem to be doing ok. Remember, I started to dig them up and then realized they weren't Hyacinths so I put them back in. I think they will make it! lol

Coming back from the back yard and getting ready to come in the house, I decided to take a picture of my blossoming cherry tree.
In a few days its gonna be a beautiful pink bouquet! Tony and I decided to watch the new AVATAR movie we got in the mail......
what a  joke!! It was the same one we already had!!
WHAT A BUMMER!!
Guess we still need to buy the new one! lol We watched it anyway (a good catch up to the new one, when we get it) I worked on cutting cards out while I watched it. I have eight ready to put together.

I took  a break and made a ham hash with the last of the ham. Then I toasted some artisan rolls and  made us a sandwich. I ate 1/2 and was full. Tony ate one and my other half. I was down three pounds today from last Monday when we started watching our weight and being careful. YAY!  Gotta keep it up! After our movie and lunch, we ran to Khols and returned the shoes I got in the mail today. Tony ordered them before he remembered I needed a half size bigger. lol We then filled up the car with gas and came home to start putting our raised garden bed together. (which came today as well)

Before we started, Tony had to figure out where the sprinkler lines were so we could place the raised garden bed in the correct place. I wanted it on the right side of the garden but it was a no go. After we  got that figured out, Tony measured and put rods where the bed will be placed and then leveled the ground. I dug up all the weeds in the garden and threw them in the trash. Then we started putting the bed together!  It took us some time and the clouds were getting darker and darker. We felt a few sprinkles but we made it!

One we finished it, I held a wrench on all the nuts while Tony tightened all the bolts. I had to sit on the ground to save my back from bending the entire time. Let me tell you, it was all I could do to get back on my feet! It's HELL getting old!! We got it moved over to the edge of the garden and came in. We'll put it in the garden tomorrow. We came in and watched THE VOICE and it's raining now. We made it!
JUST IN TIME!~

That's a nice looking garden box! Is it rust proof? That's a bummer about ordering the wrong movie. We still haven't watched the new one either. It's fun watching the flowers you plant grow and bloom! And I'm so glad you told Dad to stop and help that lady. You're a great example!

Yes, it is rust proof. I'm excited to plant. And Thank you. I was stuck in the middle of a 4 way intersection in Boise once and I was SO grateful for the guys who stopped to help me. Pay it Forward!!
