YESTERDAY & TODAY

A combined Thursday ad Friday post. Yesterday, we went to the temple and did 2 endowments. Lynn didn't go with us because she was still coughing bad but Aunt Joyce did. 

It was SUPER FOGGY when we got to Meridian and we couldn't hardly see a thing. It was a super hard frost as well because it had rained the day before. I was worried about the 3 plants I had just put into pots. When we got out, it was somewhat sunny but there were still some semi dark clouds in the sky. I checked my flowers when I got home and it seems they survived the frost.  The rest of the day was spent at the gym and then running errands. I also had to decorate my tubs for the caramel corn but got rather discouraged when I found out the ink would not come off with acetone. Grrrrr

I ended up just putting ribbon on the handles and a top on the lid that said caramel corn and the recipe. Did laundry as well.

We got up this morning and went to the gym. It was Tonys weight day so I walked the 4 miles. When we got hoe, I got busy and baked the white cake for the auction tomorrow. While it cooled.......

I popped corn for the caramel corn. I made two batches which ends up being 4 of those two containers.

This is the 2nd batch of corn. I was letting it dry a bit before putting it into the tubs. Tony ran errands while I did this and cleaned my house. He looked for compost to put on the lawn where we have to reseed. He got me some Peony bulbs for the front berm. There's a hole where I dug out the flower for Alivia.  When he got home, he said we could go to dinner at Smokey Mountain Pizza.

I filled my containers and got them ready to drop off at Effie's house. She wanted them tonight as we get out of the temple too late. She wants to set things up in the morning and she said she needed my stuff before noon. I'd already given her the two boxes of cards I made. After getting them in the car, we were off!

Tony got some kind of burger and fries.

And I got a French Dip. I couldn't finish it so we took home most of the fries (both of ours) and half of the French dip. It was filling!!

We should have got the pizza but we decided we'd do a change. Man, prices have shot up!! It's getting so expensive to do anything anymore. We stopped at Effie's on the way home and dropped off the caramel corn and then came home and showered.

I went down and finished my cake for the auction and put it in the fridge. Then I re-did my nails and now it's almost time for bed. Gonna change out my Temple bag for my old one. It's just not big enough.  The one I bought was really a purse and I like it but I need a bigger bag for the temple.  It was a good day.
