I sent a message to my friend, Robin, last Monday. I wished her a Happy Birthday but she didn't respond. SO, Tuesday, we picked up Lynn and Diane to go to the gym and walk with us. They did (but didn't walk) lol Diane played racquetball and Lynn did her bike. We only walked because Tony is trying to get his back healed up. He's had 3 visits to the chiropractor and wanted to make sure the adjustments stay in place. Once we were done, we took them home and then I came home, made the above picture with some of my shells and took a trip over to Robin's to wish her a Happy Birthday. She said she had been sick but she loved the picture. I stayed a good hour to visit and then came home.
I have been struggling to lose weight. I'm exercising but don't seem to be loosing. I saw this and had to laugh. At least I can laugh about it! NOW, you can see why!.......
We had another Electricians luncheon on Thursday, and it was at
THE GOLDEN CORAL! We met our friends, Ron & Meegan Anderson and enjoyed lunch together. We had to leave a little before two because I had an appointment with my kidney doctor. We drove to Caldwell and I had a great visit with him. He dropped my infusion drip to 500 mg the last infusion I had, and he was doing a follow up with me to let me know if he decided to up it back up to 1000 mg. He said my labs were good and we will continue with 500 again in August. He wants to monitor me with labs each month to see if I'm staying stable. Sure hope it works. If it does, in 2 years, he is going to take me off completely and we'll see how it goes. He said if I stay in remission, we may be out of the woods.
Thursday night, Debbie, Alivia & Cory and Danae, got into town to celebrate Lynn's 93rd birthday. We got together on Friday afternoon to have lunch and play games. Diane made a big Taco salad and it was delicious. Afterwards, we played games.
We played GOLF and had fun but Tony and I decided we needed to get home and to bed by 7PM because we worked in the temple the following morning. So, we took off early. Saturday, we worked our shift and we officiated a session at 10 so we didn't get out till 11:30. We had to stop at COSTCO on the way home to pick up the cake we ordered for Lynn's party. We then took Lubov home, then we changed clothes and headed to Lynn's. Diane had prepared an IRISH dinner. She made roast beef that had pickle ling spices and it wasn't corned beef but it had a taste similar to it. She also made red cabbage, mashed potatoes and we had a tossed salad and a fruit salad. There were a lot in attendance. Her brother Jeff & his wife Cynthia. Her sister Joyce, her sister Ada & her husband Melvin, her sister in law Debbie and her new husband. Then there was all of us as well as Chris & Tammy Floyd and 2 of their kids.
After we ate, we brought out the cake and lit up the 93 candles!! lol TWO candles but one was a 9 and one was a 3....can you imagine 93 stick candles lit!! We'd have burned the house down! lol
AND, she managed to blow out this many! lol
Alivia gave her a new coat, she also got a couple of puzzles, some tea towels, and we gave her some new earrings and a big pot with flowers and greenery in it for her porch.
A lot of the family left after the cake and then some of them started putting together one of her puzzles. They got it done and "I" put in the very last piece ! lol That's about all I can do on jigsaw puzzles. We left about 4:45, went home and changed again and then headed back to the temple with Chris, Tammy and Corbin. Corbin was getting baptized for the dead for the 1st time. It was a phenomenal evening in the baptistry. There were SO MANY young people serving. It was an awesome evening. Tammy got baptized by Chris and then he baptized Corbin. Then Tony baptized Chris. Then they dressed and we met to confirm all those they did the work for.
We went out back and got some pictures. It was cold and windy so we didn't stay long afterwards.
Corbin didn't have a coat so I snuggled with him and tried to keep him warm. GREAT NIGHT!! The next day was Sunday and after church, we met at Lynn's to have a quick dinner before Deb and family had to leave. I made sourdough waffle batter the night before. I brought my waffle iron over and Joyce brought hers. Lynn fried bacon while Joyce & I made waffles. Then when the bacon was done, we fried eggs. People kinda ate in shifts as the waffles came out of the irons. Debbie and family left, Tony left for a meeting and Diane, Joyce, Lynn and me stayed and cleaned up. Tony came and picked me up at 4 and I went home to rest a bit till the Relief Society Devotional. I went to the church for the meeting and then Lynn, Joyce and Diane came too. It was a wonderful meeting. When it was over, I went back to pick up Tony and we then took Joyce home.
Monday, Tony and I went to the gym and then we came home. I relaxed and read my latest John Grisham book! SO GOOD!~ Then Diane called and said she'd made a date with Tiffany Chandler Sherle. She and her new husband own a Yogurt shoppe in Caldwell.
It was so fun to see her!! She is such a lovely gal and I am just so happy for her and her new life. The shoppe was so cute and the yogurt so good. Although I just tasted Tony's and I got a lemonade with those bobo strawberry beads in it. It was delicious!! We had a great visit with her and then we came back to Lynn's and watched THE GREATEST SHOWMAN.
Today, we got up, went to the gym, walked till 10 after 9 and then had to leave to get to Tony's C Pap fitting.
It took longer than I expected. There was a lot of her explaining how to fit it, clean it, adjust etc. Then he tried two of them and made his choice. She left the room for a few minutes so he could decide which one felt the best.
I was worried they would ne noisy and it would disturb me, but they are very quiet. He made his choice and then we came home. I got things ready for lunch while he was setting up his machine.
At two o'clock, the Sister's came over and Yeti did too. We had lunch and then a discussion. I made Chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, chips and brownies. I caught them with their mouths full. lol They really enjoyed the meal and I sent brownies home with Yeti. There were only 2 left and he was headed to work so he had dessert to eat with his packed lunch for later. We will do the same thing next Wednesday. It's fun to meet with him and I am amazed how smart he is. He studies hard and is so excited about the gospel. After we finished, Tony took Yeti home so he could get picked up by a friend who works at the same place. It's been a good couple of week but very busy. I'm almost finished reading my book but we are just relaxing tonight. We've been on the go and need a rest!
