Saturday, was the 4th of July! It was such a wonderful day! We went to the gym with Pat and did our walking. Then we went to Lynn's and made plans for our day. It's going to be GREAT celebrating 250 years of America's FREEDOM!
The puzzle that Deedra got, was three puzzles in one. The 1st one was the head of the Statue of Liberty!
Then the rest of the pieces were added to make this one!
Then, when flipped over, it was this picture! Really a pretty cool puzzle and fun to do for the BIG 4th of July celebration! Curtis and Deedra and kids went up to Melissa and Nathan's around noon and Curtis and Nathan made a big brisket. They invited us to come up at 5 for dinner, along with Tammy and Chris and their kids. Melissa wanted to invite her mother and Tammy was going to pick her up at 5 and bring her to Melissa's. We decided to wait and go up later. We wanted them to have time with their mother without us and the added stress of Tony and I being there.
So, we picked up Lynn and went to TEXAS ROADHOUSE at 3 for dinner. We had the best waitress! She was delightful and sent us home with extra rolls, honey butter and take out drinks. As soon as we left, Nathan called us and said for us to come to their home. They were swimming and eating. We told him we would come up after the movie we were going to and he kept saying he would buy ou tickets and to get up there. lol I tried to explain how we didn't want to make things uncomfortable fo Marsha, but he kept insisting.
He sent pictures of Deedra and Charlotte enjoying the pool to entice us. lol Not that we'd get in the pool but it sure looked inviting. We came home and were relaxing, when we got another call from Nate and he said Marsha wasn't going. Tammy had driven to Meridian to pick her up and she said she wasn't feeling well. I really hope she didn't feel like she couldn't go because she thought we'd be there.
So we went up and enjoyed some time with the families before the show started.
The kids were having so much fun. Curtis thought of a ton of fun games for them to play in the water.
Nate tried to get me sitting in the white chair and dangle my feet but it was too hard for me to get down that low and I didn't want to make a fool of myself. He helped Lynn and she got soaked! lol And she had a hard time getting up too.
Milo and Aussie got a long great!
It was good to see Livie and she brought Ale home with her.
Curtis winding up his throw with one of the games he thought of.
Tammy and Melissa enjoying the water.
Such a beautiful home and the view from the pool is incredible.
The fun and games continued and then around 7:15, we left to go to the movie. We had to take Lynn home to change her clothes because she was soaking wet. We went to YOUNG WASHINGTON and it was so good!! After it was over, we went back up to Nate and Melissa's and watched fireworks from their place.
It was a great vantage point and even though most of the BIG ONE'S were already set off, we still saw quite a few. Around 11:30 or midnight, (can't even remember at this point) we all dispersed and went home.
Tony and I never got in the pool but surely wanted to. So I AI ed us. A GIRL CAN DREAM! LOL
It was a wonderful 4th of July!
GOD IS GOOD !
