Heather was going to be induced at 7AM on Sunday the 5th so I could be there. Tony and I left on Friday the 3rd as soon as I got home from work. We arrived around 8PM that evening and had fun visiting with the kids. Saturday we took Rowan to SLC to ride the TRAX because the last time we were here we promised him a ride and then the darn TRAX weren't running!! We had to make good on our promise! lol The 5 of us jumped in the car and off we went! Rowan LOVED the train ride! They have expanded the "Free Zone" so he got quite a long ride! We got off at the new mall because he wanted to see the fish and of course he played on the Dinosaurs at the food court again! We went to Costco on the way home and ate pizza and ice cream and then on back to Layton. Tony was able to help with a few minor things around the house and then we had a nice chicken dinner. Shortly after dinner, Heather gets a phone call from her Doctor, asking her to come to the hospital Saturday night to be induced because the hospital was going to be short staffed on Sunday. We packed some things and Jon, Heather and I took Rowan to Ogden to be tended by Craig. Carol came to the hospital shortly after we arrived. It was a long cool night! The hospital was freezing but Heather was nice and toasty! She had the epidural not long after she was checked in so she was comfortable ALL night! Little Sawyer was born (after three pushes) Sunday morning at 8:30 on the dot! He was 20 1/2 inches long and PERFECT! |
