BOISE TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE

Last night after work I was again privileged to take Carlos and Mary Grant and Jennifer Hinkley Poole to the Boise Temple Open House. They are Jills mother and sister and step father.  It was so nice. We were in one of the last tours for Monday. They stop at 5PM on Monday and we were in a 4:20 group. It wasn't overly crowded like it was when we took the Hendricks through and we were able to sit for a few minutes in each room.
I love all the stained glass throughout the temple. It was neat because last night I learned that a lot of the windows (which are not stained glass but have patterns in them) such as  inside on the doors. They  have glass that was broken up from the previous windows and it is imbedded in them. It almost looks like rain! So beautiful!  This is the stained glass window in the Baptistry! This picture is from the outside and it is lovely!  I love it!
The fall leaves on the trees make for a beautiful picture with the Temple and it's new white granite!  I was so happy that Mary, Carlos and Jennifer enjoyed going through.  Carlos said how beautiful it was without being opulent! He was very impressed. It had rained off and on all day but was lovely when we went through and didn't start coming down again until we were finished and I was on my way home.  It will be wonderful to take them through the Meridian Temple when it it built. We'll have to make plans!!  I'm going this Thursday with my friend Jane! Can't wait to see her  and to get her feelings on this wonderful edifice! We are so blessed to be able to share it with our friends at this time!
