MY SUNDAY LESSON ~ INTEGRITY

It was my turn to teach yesterday for Young Women's. My topic was the value "INTEGRITY."  I like object lessons and I saw these cute little bags on PINTEREST. Well, everyone knows that owls are know as wise little birds!  So I wrote
"HAVE INTEGRITY ~ BE HONEST ~ IT'S THE WISE THING TO DO !!
I made 26 of the little buggers. I had some wonderful information from Elder Bednar and a lot of really good stories about honesty and integrity. One really funny one too.  For my closing remarks I had the 'Parable of the Popper"   It was a cute story told in a parable form. It was a bout a man who gathered the corn and did all he needed to do to get it ready to pop. The story goes on to tell that when the heat was applied, some of the kernels exploded to their full potential and burst forth with delicious goodness. While others popped just a little and still others just basked in the warmth of the oil and did nothing.  It was basically saying that ... when the heat is on and trials come, some of us do very well and withstand the heat and the pressure, while other do just OK and still others do not do anything.  It was a really cool parable and went well with my lesson. I made a big batch of Cookies & Cream Popcorn and fill my little owl bags.

I boxed them up and off to church I went. It went well and I think the girls enjoyed it.   I think I got the Value of Integrity across pretty well, if I do say so myself!

You're so good mom. Those girls are lucky to have you, and I hope they appreciate all the time you put into your lessons, and everything else you do for them!

Thanks honey!! The cookies and cream popcorn was regular popped corn then you breaks up oreo cookies to a fine mixture and then melt white chocolate. Pour chocolate over corn and stir well and then the oreo mixture and mix well. It was OK but not great! lol
