It was a good thing Tony was off on Friday to take care of our freezer problem because it was a whirlwind weekend and we would not have had time to do it all. I got off at 3:30 and by the time I got the sewing machine returned that the Young Women used last Wednesday, I was home a little after 4PM. Tony and his dad had the old freezer out and emptied (into about 6 coolers) the new one purchased and unloaded and they were working on re-doing the shelving that was build around the old freezer. It was Nephi's birthday and we were invited to his party at 6:30. Tony had to build a platform to put the new freezer on and I painted it while he and Art re did the shelf above the freezer. We took a break and made it to the party by 7PM. Nephi turned 7 years old and enjoyed having some of his cousins there to help him celebrate. |
Lehi was so cute and smiled for the camera. He is usually so reserved when there are a lot of us around but he was in rare form (well, at least for us) and he was all smiles.
A little performing on the coffee table was in order. He is so tiny but very capable and agile. He climbed on top of the table and posed like crazy!! It was fun to see him so uninhibited!
We didn't stay long. Just long enough to watch Nephi open his gifts and have some cake and ice cream. Then we had to get back to the freezer business.
We headed back to Nampa, dropped Lynn off at home and then Art came back with us and we finished up after 10 PM!! The garage was a mess and the cars had to spend the night out doors but the freezer was in place and the food back in and we didn't loose too much. Just some frozen rolls and hash browns. Not bad!!

Saturday morning we went to the new Police building here in Nampa for the" Republican Women's Meeting" to discuss Common Core. Debbie had come from Utah on Friday night just for this meeting. She has been very diligent in getting the word out about the dangers of Common Core and our children's education. We were there from 10AM to noon and it was very informative. When we got finished with that, Tony took the old freezer back to RC Wiley so they could dispose of it for us while I made a cake for Lynn and brownies and a cake for the Sunday dinner with the family. |

After Tony got back, he and I dropped by Nate and Melissa's to wish Blake a happy birthday. He turned 12 last Thursday (the 14th) We gave him a new tie so he could look sharp on Sunday when he passed the Sacrament for the 1st time. We then went home again to clean the garage so we could park the cars inside again. |

Then Saturday late afternoon, we all met at Art and Lynn's to wish Lynn a Happy 81st Birthday. |
I made Lynn a coconut cake and Tammy brought what was left of Katie's birthday cake. (Katie's birthday isn't for another week but she celebrated her's on Saturday morning with her friends) We had pizza and salad and taco's! It was a good time!
Blake and Nikki serenaded Lynn with a HAPPY BIRTHDAY rendition on the violin and piano! They are getting pretty good!

I was able to hold Lehi without him crying so it made my day! lol (although he doesn't have the smile on his face he had in earlier pictures) BUT it's a foot in the right direction! lol
After visiting for a while we settled down to play some games. Around 9 o'clock the kids all left. Tony, Debbie, Lynn, Art and I started to play "Mexican Train" and after the 1st round Art headed to bed. The 4 of us were up till midnight and played and had a blast.
Sunday was busy as well with BYC at 11AM, Choir practice at noon and our Easter program at 1PM. Our choir did the Easter program and it was very nice. After the block was over at 4, we met at Bob and Joyce's for dinner and our weekly FHE. Tony did a great job as usual and after it was over we got out the games. Tammy and Katelynn came over to visit with Danae and then Deedra and the kids came so we all played UNO till 8:30. We then called it a day in order to get home and get some rest before another busy week starts!
The weekends come and go way to fast to suit me!! |
