MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2013

Tony and I booked our time share over a year ago to spend a week in Coeur d Alene over Memorial Day weekend. Well, things change in that amount of time. We both got busy at work so we asked Mom and Dad Norton and Bob and Joyce Haverfield to follow us up so they could stay in our condo and our points wouldn't be wasted. We left on Friday morning and drove to Lewiston and spent the evening with Stillman and Michelle and the boys. We went to dinner at the Downtown Grill and then across the street to Kim's dance studio where we watched her kids practice for their upcoming performance. After that, Stillman and Michelle took us to some sites in Lewiston. Here is Alex and Jayden posing by the river.

This is a beautiful monument at the park beside the river. I got a kick outta Jayden's face as he hugs his daddy's leg!  lol There were Russian Olive Trees growing by the river and they smelled delicious!!

Joel was pointing out something but I made them all turn to face the camera and say cheese!

This is the front of the monument. Sacajawea has water coming out of her hands and it signifies the two rivers coming together.

Saturday morning we all left for Couer d Alene and we went up the grade towards Moscow. There is a beautiful overlook and you can see both Idaho and Washington. I love  this BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY we live in! No mater where we go there are always wonderful sites to see.  Sure makes me appreciate AMERICA and God's creations!

Stillman and Michelle and they boys drove up with us and showed us some interesting things along the way. I loved how Alex was holding Baby Keaton in this picture.  lol

After getting to Couer d Alene, we all went to Jimmy Johns and got a sandwich for lunch. We then met up with Michelle's father and step mother and walked the dock around the marina. It was beautiful. We had a good visit and then we split up. The kids went with her parents and we headed to Costco to get some groceries. Then we drove over to the condo which is on the other side of the lake. This is a picture of the lake from our balcony. It was a great condo and a beautiful site.

This picture was taken on Sunday. We got up and went to church 1st. We met up with Joel and Kim's daughters (Signey and Bronwyn) for Sacrament meeting and then (because we had to leave early the next day) we took a big boat ride and a tour of the lake.  You can see our resort in the background. We were in the green building on the right. It was too short but at least the folks can enjoy this beautiful scenery for the week. We did while it lasted. It was a great 4 day weekend. Maybe another time we can go again for a longer period of time.
