Today is Art's birthday. He would have been 91.
He died years ago. Such a sweet man! We all miss him so much. Ellie (in the middle) will be home from her mission next Saturday, the 29th! Man, time flies o the wings of lightning!
I was just thinking of what a blessing it is to grow a garden!
What a difference some water and sunshine makes!
(well, seeds too!)
I had a dentist appointment this morning at 9. I got home at 10 and Tony was busy cutting a new back panel for his trailer. I decided to call Judy Lind. (I'd seen her at the temple last Saturday) We had a great visit catching up. I was shocked to hear she and Tom divorced last August. She is now living in Baker City Oregon. She had an eye appointment so after 1/2 hour, we had to hang up. I'll definitely be calling her again. A while after later, Tony and I ran to Lowes to buy paint for his trailer. We hadn't eaten anything so around 12:30, I cooked up a DEEP DISH pizza, we got from Costco and ate lunch. It was pretty good! We got a call from Deedra and she said they were at Nampa Bowl and were gonna drop by to visit before they went back to Gramma's for lunch.
Deedra and Garrett and the two little girls (and Gramma) dropped in. Jack was at Band Camp. We had a short visit and then we had to leave to go pick up a Grocery order for a sister in the ward. Deedra and the kids left and we went to the DI here in Nampa.(not realizing we had to drive to Boise) lol We called them and gave them the order # and said we were on our way. They said they would have it ready when we arrived.
As soon as we drove up, two men came with two grocery carts LOADED!! I was so surprised to see how BIG the order was. What a blessing for this sweet sister. It filled up the back of our car! When we got back to Nampa and to her home, it took the three of us 4 trips each to bring it all into her house. AND, Tony was taking 4 bags at a time and she and I, three. Our church is so wonderful! I love all the programs that help those in need!
After delivering the groceries, we went to the gym to do our walking. It was so funny !! I don't know who does this, but someone gathers up a ton of toilet paper and piles it on the ledge. It's so weird. Don't know if they bring it home to use or what.
When we finished walking, we quickly went down to the pool to visit with the Butterfields. They picked up Jack from Band Camp and went swimming. Gaya (Deedra's mother in law was there with 4 of her grandkids from Utah) I visited with her.
Gramma Lynn got in the pool tool! It looked refreshing!!
We had only a short time there and then we had to leave as Tony had a Elder's Quorum meeting at 5:15. My new FITBIT was here when we got home so I can't wait for Tony to get back and set it up for me. lol We'll go over to Lynn's later to play games.
WE DID and it was FUN!
Time for bed and some scripture reading!
