Today, Tony and I are going to do baptisms. I'm so excited!! we leave at 11. I got up and got ready to go. Didn't do much, as I will be getting dunked several times so why put on makeup or do my hair?? lol I had to get a message for the August newsletter to Johanna before the 15th. I decided to get it out of the way before we left. I used this quote from President Nelson.
Then I added my own thoughts and encouraged the Sister's to try and attend the temple once a month, to read their scriptures, pray and do their ministering. Then I got it sent to Johanna. I still had some time, so I put together a couple more cards.
This time, Halloween! lol
I like the Tri fold design.
I'm trying to get rid of all the cut outs I have building up. I did it a while ago but I have so many, I'm not done!! lol
Well, we're off to the temple!! More to come~
Our appointment at the temple to do baptisms was at noon. We left at 11 and when we got there, the 2 women went in to be witnesses and Tony and I got changed into whites to do the baptisms. There was a young Jarvis boy (we know his grandfather who was our State Farm Agent) and he was baptizing Brother Peterson when we 1st got into the font area. After Brother Jarvis finished the baptisms for Brother Peterson , they had him be the baptizer for Tony's 7 brother names (4 of which were mine) and then Tony stayed in and I got in the font. Tony and I had quite a rhythm going and our prayers were answered! He baptized me 42 times for his and my relatives. It was AWESOME!! I haven't been able to do baptisms for quite some time and I was thrilled to be able to do so. It was GREAT!~
After we finished, Lynn was confirmed for the women and Tony for the men. Joyce enjoyed watching the youth who were continuing to do baptisms while we were getting the confirmations done.
SUCH A GREAT DAY! I WANT TO GO AGAIN!
We drove back to Nampa and went to Taco Bell for lunch. Marissa was working and waited on us. She is the sweetest young lady! She was a foster child for the Stucki's and just recently, they adopted her. She is a little FIRE CRACKER, and I mean that in the best possible way! She bears her testimony every Fast Sunday. She just graduated from High School and is working full time and saving her money to buy a car. She also got scholarships and is going to Beauty College this fall. We just love her. She is so friendly. She came and sat with us and visited when there weren't any customers. When she went back to wait on customers, she asked us to tell her when we were leaving and she gave us a BIG HUG!
We came home and changed our clothes and so did Lynn and Joyce. Then we picked them up again and the four of us went to the gym. Tony and I walked our 4 miles and the ladies rode a bike for 2. My FITBIT quit working right after we got out of the temple ( and we still haven't got it to boot up) so I didn't get credit for my exercise day or my steps. Oh well..... tomorrow on our way home from the temple, we are going to stop at the jewelers and get a battery for my Citizen watch. (haven't worn it in forever)
In the meantime, I'm going to try putting my Fitbit in rice to see if that helps. Guess I won't worry about steps for a while!
IT WAS A GREAT DAY!~
