HOUSE CLEANING & YARD WORK DAY!~

We've had company and we are getting more company SO, today was yard day and I also did laundry and cleaned house. Getting prepared! Tony went to his Mom's 1st thing so he could bring boxes over ( Jess & Diane were cleaning out her storeroom) 

and after mowing her lawn and taking care of the sprinklers etc. he came home and started on Aunt Joyce's yard.

I did our yard! I mowed, pulled weeds, cut back the lilac and cherry tree and pulled off the dead flowers in the pots.

Tony decided to let the big bush in front of the window

 (a snowbound spiria)  grow till after it blooms next year and then cut it back. YAY! Maybe it will actually do what its supposed to next year! Time will tell!

After mowing the backyard, I did the same as the front. I picked weeds, cut back the tree a little bit, and I picked the produce in the garden! I got a lot of tomatoes, a couple of zucchini and 3 cucumbers. The tomatoes are delicious. I ate a cucumber for lunch and was disappointed in it. Not what I was expecting. :(

After my outside work was done, I came in and cleaned house. I dusted, vacuumed, did laundry and I even cleaned all my baseboards. My cousin Maxine and her husband Stan are coming this Friday and will be staying with us. I warned her that we are going to bed early on Friday and we work at the temple on Saturday morning so to be aware we won't be around a lot. lol We are invited to a BBQ at the Slover's on Friday night at 6. They said we could bring them as long as I made an extra dish. NO PROBLEM! However, we won't stay long. We are veil coordinators Saturday so have to be rested.

When I was done with my work, I boiled the rest of the chicken I had bought at Costco and made chicken and noodles for dinner along with corn bread. Then at 5:30 we picked up Kevin & Jan and went to the theater to see............

the new INDIANA JONES!

It was a fun movie. I'm not sure Lynn and Joyce enjoyed it as much as the rest of us. lol

But it was a fun night!!  We love the Poulsen's! It was so fun to have them along. He said later that the best part of the show was to be with us! He is the sweetest man!

We took up nearly the whole back row with the eight of us! There was one other couple on the end. 

GOOD TIMES!~

It was nearly 10 when we got out. We visited on the way home with Jan and Kevin and then we hit the sack. A long busy day but rewarding and fun!
